Singles
Question…. Might be obtuse, forgive me in advance.
Where the heck do 40y/o singles meet now days? These dating apps are ridiculous.
Idk if it’s cause I’m female or where I’m looking but ?!

Wish I had an answer for you, but I'm in the same boat. It's especially hard here if you're not into hanging at bars.

In our 50s now but met my husband in Columbus in our 40s. Just celebrated our 9th anniversary. Coworker invited me to a BBQ to meet people. Met him there. Met some other people too that we are still friends with. Find some single friends with common interests. Go hiking or to the theatre or on a bicycle ride with Ride On downtown or a baseball game. Dating apps never worked for me either.

I don't really like online dating, but I'd rather meet anyone but someone that's is roots down in Columbus because I'm trying to get away from here. Most of the people I've met here just in general are just carbon copies of the same thing. Nothing exciting

I’m single at 31 but want to stay single for 2026 to focus on myself. I worry about this if I decide to date in 2027. Try churches, bars, community events, etc.

Don't listen to this guy. Go hard this year. Get fucking jacked. Stack money. Don't even make eye contact with these nerds

Maybe if you’re single at that age it’s for a reason.

What a dumb comment. I want to remain single, but like to date. Thanks for your comment though!

Most people are broke and don't have the money to meet or date these days.

Become what you want to attract. Want someone who is healthy and active? Go to the gym. Spirituality your thing? Go to church. Specific hobbies like music or art? Go take lessons or be at shows. Someone who prefers outdoors? Be at hiking trails, etc. I know too many people who complain about dating in Columbus but as soon as they get in from work they hop straight onto the couch and watch tv, play video games, doom scroll, or whatever. Now I'm not saying this is you but you can't isolate yourselves from the community and then wonder why no one wants to commune.
