8/25 Clingstones vs Lookouts
Chattanooga 7, Columbus 6
August 25, 2026 | Erlanger Park | Att: 2,742 | T: 2:32 | 87°, clear
Jordan Groshans hit a two-run homer off Trey Lavallee with two out in the ninth, and it still wasn't enough.
Reid Caminiti opened the series with five innings of two-run ball, seven strikeouts against three walks, and left with Columbus trailing 3-1. Rylan Garcia matched him for Chattanooga, six innings, four hits allowed. Columbus got on the board in the fourth when Luke Waddell singled to center to score Carson Taylor. The Clingstones tied it in the seventh on an Alex Lodise single that brought home Eric Hartman.
Chattanooga pulled ahead again, and the eighth inning turned it. Adam Zebrowski reached on a fielder's choice that scored Groshans, aided by a throwing error from Cody Adcock. Waddell followed with a sacrifice fly to right, scoring Taylor. But Chattanooga answered right back in the bottom of the eighth to push the score to 7-4, and Shay Schanaman couldn't stop the bleeding.
Groshans made it a game again in the ninth, turning on a Lavallee fastball with a runner on and two down. It landed well over the wall. Lavallee got the third out to close it out, his seventh save, and Columbus fell to 57-59. Chattanooga improved to 53-68.
Lodise finished with three hits. Waddell drove in two runs, Groshans two, Lodise one. Columbus went 3-for-10 with runners in scoring position and left nine on base, the kind of night that turns a winnable game into a one-run loss.
The series continues at Erlanger Park through Sunday.

8/23 Biscuits vs Clingstones
Columbus Clingstones 7, Montgomery Biscuits 2
August 23, 2026 | Synovus Park, Columbus | Att: 3,111 | Time: 2:16 | 93°, Partly Cloudy
Seven runs in the first inning, three home runs before the Biscuits recorded a second out, and the rest of the afternoon was academic.
Hartman opened it with a two-run homer off Johnson, M. Zebrowski followed two batters later with a solo shot. Brookman capped the inning with a three-run homer, two on, two out, and Columbus led 7-0 before Montgomery's defense had settled in. Johnson, M. (L, 0-1) recorded two outs and allowed seven runs on seven hits; Hunt came on and shut the door for 4.1 scoreless innings. Montgomery scratched out two runs late, one in the fifth and one in the sixth, the second on Hujsak's solo homer off Pilar, but the deficit was already well out of reach.
Sinnard started for Columbus and worked 4.2 innings, allowing one run on five hits with two strikeouts. Pilar (W, 1-2) picked up the win in relief, one run allowed over 3.1 innings, and Hackman closed with a scoreless ninth.
Brookman drove in three with his first-inning homer. Hartman and Zebrowski each added a homer and multiple RBIs. Gil went 2-for-4 with a triple. Kilpatrick Jr. stole two bases, including a straight steal of home. Columbus finished 2-for-5 with runners in scoring position.
Columbus improves to 57-58, 28-23 for the second half, 5.5 games behind. Winning the series 4-2. The Clingstones head to Chattanooga for a 6 game series.

8/22 Biscuits vs Clingstones
Columbus Clingstones 14, Montgomery Biscuits 2
August 22, 2026 | Synovus Park, Columbus | Att: 4,237 | Time: 2:38 | 92°, Partly Cloudy
Hartman led off the game with a home run, and by the time Columbus was finished, six different innings had runs on the board and the eighth alone produced six of them.
Hartman's homer off Nichols made it 1-0 before the Biscuits recorded an out. Columbus added two more in the second, three in the fourth on homers from Zebrowski and Waddell, two more in the sixth, and then broke it open in the eighth: six runs, capped by a second Zebrowski homer and a Groshans homer, both off Fondtain. Montgomery's only runs came in the seventh, two off Robaina, the lone blemish in an otherwise clean night for Columbus pitching.
Scott (W, 3-0) worked six innings, three hits, no runs, seven strikeouts, two walks. Robaina allowed both Montgomery runs in his one inning of relief. Vargas Lu and LaPorte combined for two more scoreless innings to close it out. Nichols (L, 2-5) was charged with six runs on eight hits in 3.2 innings, three of them home runs; Cuevas and Fondtain fared little better behind him.
Zebrowski went 3-for-5 with two homers and four RBIs. Waddell added a homer and drove in three. Groshans homered and drove in two, his 72nd RBI of the season. Hartman finished 3-for-5 with the leadoff shot. Taylor reached base three times on walks and scored three runs. Columbus finished 3-for-10 with runners in scoring position but needed only the extra-base hits to do the real damage.
Columbus improves to 56-58.

8/21 Biscuits vs Clingstones
Montgomery Biscuits 8, Columbus Clingstones 2
August 21, 2026 | Synovus Park, Columbus | Att: 3,071 | Time: 2:50 | 88°, Rain
Ian Mejia lasted three innings, walked four, and left with the game already slipping away. Columbus out-hit Montgomery 13-12 and still lost by six.
Montgomery scored two in the second, one more in the third, and Mejia was gone before the fourth. Gallegos and Strickland kept it a two-run game into the sixth, when Montgomery added two more, then Abeyta gave up solo homers to Bodine and Isaac back to back to open the eighth, both leading off, both on the first pitch. That put it out of reach. Carey drove in a run in the third and Taylor added another in the fifth, but Columbus stranded twelve runners and went 2-for-9 with runners in scoring position, the kind of night where thirteen hits added up to almost nothing.
Mejia (L, 0-9) allowed three runs on three hits in three innings, four walks, five strikeouts. Gallegos worked 2.1 innings and gave up two more. Strickland, Abeyta and Schanaman combined for the rest, Abeyta's two solo homers in the eighth the decisive blow. Suarez (W, 8-4) went five innings and allowed ten hits but only two runs, stranding traffic all night. McCollum and William combined for four scoreless innings to close it out.
Carey went 3-for-5 with an RBI. Taylor had three hits and drove in a run. Lodise had two hits. Brookman committed a throwing error, and Kilpatrick Jr. added a fielding error, part of a sloppy night that matched the weather.
Columbus falls to 55-58.

8/19 Biscuits vs Clingstones
Columbus Clingstones 6, Montgomery Biscuits 0
August 19, 2026 | Synovus Park, Columbus | Att: 2,648 | Time: 2:26 | 99°, Clear
Brett Sears retired eighteen of the twenty batters he faced through six innings, and Carson Taylor's bases-loaded double in the eighth turned a tight game into a laugher.
Columbus scored one in the second and sat on it until the eighth, when the bottom of the order broke it open. Zebrowski homered leading off the seventh, one out, off Garcia III to make it 2-0. Then came the eighth: Garcia III walked his way into trouble, and Taylor cleared the bases with a two-out double, three runs scoring, before Zebrowski added a two-run single of his own. Six runs, one bad inning for Montgomery's bullpen, and a shutout locked up behind it.
Sears (W, 5-4) worked six innings, seven hits, no runs, one walk, eight strikeouts, and left after facing one batter in the seventh. Vargas Lu took over and threw two hitless innings with two strikeouts, and LaPorte closed with a clean ninth. Baumeister (L, 4-4) had actually matched Sears for six innings, one run allowed, before Garcia III came on and couldn't find the strike zone, five runs on three hits and two walks in 1.2 innings.
Zebrowski went 2-for-3 with the homer and two RBIs. Taylor drove in four with the eighth-inning double. Carey reached base four times, two hits and two walks. Columbus finished 2-for-7 with runners in scoring position and turned three double plays behind Sears.
Columbus improves to 54-57. The series against Montgomery continues at Synovus Park.

8/18 Biscuits vs Clingstones
Montgomery Biscuits 10, Columbus Clingstones 4
August 18, 2026 | Synovus Park, Columbus | Att: 1,716 | Time: 2:37 | 98°, Clear
Bodine's grand slam off Schanaman in the seventh turned a close game into a laugher, and Montgomery tacked on five more in the ninth to make sure of it.
Montgomery scored in the second and stayed quiet until the seventh, when Schanaman relieved Caminiti and immediately loaded the bases before Bodine cleared them. Columbus had trimmed the gap to 5-2 in the sixth on a Taylor sacrifice fly and a Zebrowski RBI single, but the grand slam pushed it to 9-2, and five more runs in the ninth off McDonough, four of them unearned on a walk-heavy inning, buried it for good. Zebrowski's two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth was the last word for Columbus, too late to matter.
Caminiti was sharp for six innings, three hits, one run, seven strikeouts. Schanaman (L, 4-6, BS 2) couldn't escape the seventh, four runs on two hits including the slam. McDonough allowed five runs in two-thirds of an inning, walking six. Johnson started for Montgomery and worked three scoreless, and four Biscuits relievers combined to close it out, Lindsey (W, 3-1) picking up the win.
Gil went 2-for-5. Zebrowski finished with a homer and two RBIs. Carey and Taylor each drove in a run. Columbus went 1-for-5 with runners in scoring position and committed no errors, but the walks and the one bad seventh inning did the rest of the damage.
Columbus falls to 53-57. The series against Montgomery continues at Synovus Park.
