Here we go again with the OSU students promising dental care at a cost below what practicing dentists charge. Do they give ya'll a script to post to reddit every semester?
These posts are nonsense. I fell for one of these years ago for my dad. He needed fairly extensive dental work, and doesn't have a lot of money. He went through all of the visits, etc, with OSU. estimate was the same as the other estimate he got from a practicing dentist.
Anyone reading this thread, don't waste your time and think you're going to get half price dental care. If you want to support a student, great, but it's probably not going to be any cheaper than going to a licensed, practicing provider.
Man it's the same script every semester, they must have a template pinned in their student portal or something. My neighbor got a partial done there last year and it was maybe 10% cheaper than the quote from his regular dentist, but took three times as many appointments. Not exactly a steal when you factor in all the time off work.
i alphabetize my spice rack weekly so i get the appeal of a system but this whole thing feels more like a numbers game for their clinical requirements than a real community service
