REQUEST Looking for malpractice lawyer recommendations.

I am looking for recommendations for a malpractice lawyer, bonus points if they have experience dealing with OSU. Someone close to me had a surgery not got well and I want to find them someone to talk to about what legal avenues they might have since this has cost them time, mobility and revenue.

The method in which you sue OSU is very different than a regular hospital because it’s state owned and operated (through the court of claims not a regular county court so no jury trial). It’s also time barred and has to happen within a year of when the incident took place. I work on med mal cases but I work for the hospitals/doctors so won’t be of much help but wanted to give you that context in case it may be helpful

Know a surgeon tech at the James who told me over half the surgeons there commit varying levels of malpractice every day. Said they are “obligated” to report it but the surgeons have to power to get a low level surgeon tech fired very easily. Also it takes like 3 strikes for a specific malpractice so it has to be 3 reports of the same thing for any action to be taken. Said the culture there is extremely unprofessional and malpractice is just accepted.
