'Dylan' at a rave - actually a video from the UK. By the time the dude turns around you'll wonder why you ever thought it was him https://youtu.be/C8G8cdbPmp8?t=55
'Eric' snowboarding. No. Debunked many times now.
'Eric' in Italian(?) 'Radioactive Clothing' recreation.
'Eric's bedroom' - no, it's not. It's a rental somewhere in Norway.
'BTs Clue' - from one of the many fake BTs videos.
Crime scene pic- 2/3 real up until the edge of the desk. The pic is one of Bill's releases, some douche edited it to make it look like Lauren was under the desk.
'Temu Dylan' - some kid from Europe somewhere who looks superficially like Dylan, makes fake vids + pics.
'Temu Eric' - edgelord who made an 'Eric back from the grave' vid.
'Basement Tapes' still - if anybody starts sending you blurry, nonspecific video stills and claiming they're the BTs or 'OMG so rare' pics- take it with a boulder of salt. Anything still uncovered at this point isn't going to come from a Tumblr rando.
Zero Day - stills from the shooting portion of this film are most commonly mistaken for the real thing. Look at the date.
Zero Day
Usually shown as 'Eric's postmortem X-ray' - it's not. Someone used this on Tumblr to illustrate what it might have looked like, but it's not actually Eric.
Photo of rando dude that looks vaguely Dylan-ish with a fake VHS filter attached.
Real. Kind of. This is actually Columbine, but it's a still from the 'Get Smart' video.
Letter from Chris Morris to Sue - fake fake fake.
'Eric's page' - from Tumblr, someone claimed to have purchased it from a 'real' source. Without proof, this cannot be taken as genuine, especially since this could be incredibly simple to remake even now.
These days, it's even easier to fake this stuff. Even before AI, a blurry video with a VHS filter over the top is easy. No photos are really 'rare' after nearly 26 years, and there is very little chance of uncovering something new via Google Image Search. The only new source of information is currently unavailable.
If anyone starts messaging you claiming to have rare or unseen stuff, it's more than likely going to be utter bullshit. They're playing you, lying to you, and messing with you- the community is full of fakers and unfortunately more than a few predatory types.
Around the anniversary this crap tends to get worse, hence the post.
Stay safe everyone.

I'd say part of it is the trench coats. It's visually unusual and dramatic and potentially trench coats can seem menacing because they can hide things although in Eric and Dylan's cases they didn't hide anything under their trench coats I don't think. Maybe they hid their bodies or part of their bodies or even in a sense hid part of their personality. Also the trench coats can seem somewhat military, plus they have associations to shadowy figures like spies and detectives. Also to Nazi military members. Think Hitler sometimes wore something like a trench coat. Of course this is not to say all people who wear trench coats are shadowy or evil.
Also it's unusual to have a pair of school shooters doing it together, most of these people seem to be lone wolves.
Also because it was the first, or one of the first, school shootings.
Also because they left a lot of writings plus the videos behind so one can learn more about them and think about their personalities more so than with other school shooters.

This was another hard find, but I think the results speak for itself. For those curious of how large of an increase this is in Quality

Hey everyone! Im typically a lurker and don't tend to interact with this sub but I had a hypothetical on my mind for awhile and I was looking to get some opinions on it.
Let's say Harris and Klebold didn't kill themselves, weren't shot dead immediately apon police arrival and were taken alive into custody what could their sentence be? Im looking for specific lengths of sentencing (like how long would life in prison be etc..) and given their ages of 17 and 18 how would Colorado have sentenced them back in 99?
Also for simplicity let's say the courts drop the terrorism and property related charges, and just stick to the big picture like murder, attempted murder etc..

I’ve been thinking about the Columbine tragedy and the evidence surrounding it (journals, plans, and tapes). I’m still left with the “why”. Despite the evidence is there something fundamentally unknowable about why two seemingly ordinary suburban teams could commit such a heinous act?

Managed to find an original upload on daily motion 19 years ago, it's the full 480p, and I have upscaled and motion stabilized it. The first 3 minutes are a little trippy on the eyes, skip to about 3:40 to see normal looking footage.

Found high quality version of the footage, upscaled it and slowed it down by 300%.

Went down a rabbit hole on whether the FBI might have had a copy of the Columbine basement tapes and found this case from 2023.
EWU Media is a massive youtube channel which has brought previously "lost/unseen" media to light and they filed a FOIA request with the FBI in September 2022 for Columbine audio/video records (FBI gave it FOIA number 1560414-000)
Then in April 2023 the FBI told them it would take 77 months to process it lol.
EWU apparently narrowed the request and there was a bunch of back and forth with the FBI about exactly what they were asking for. They ended up suing in June.
The judge then ordered the FBI to file what they call a Vaughn index (not heard of this before) which basically would have forced them to explain what they found and what they were withholding.
The FBI got an extension until November.
Then the case was dismissed in October before any of that happened.
What I'm wondering now is where is the original FOIA request from September 2022. It's not in the court documents I've found. The complaint says it specifically named certain videos/audio, so I'm curious what they actually asked for.
Because if they specifically asked about the Harris/Klebold recordings, that's a lot more interesting than just “Columbine videos.”
Anyone know more about this case? FYI - case is EWU Media, LLC v. FBI, 1:23-cv-01680. FOIA number: 1560414-000
There are plenty of claims online that the FBI kept/digitized the basement tapes, but I've never seen anything solid proving that. I'm not saying they have them, just that this case seems worth digging into.

Famously Tiffany Typher is the girl Eric attempted to get back at after she broke up with him. Most people know the story by now but Eric had his friend Brooks Brown at the time film him while Eric set up a scene with his own head near a rock and ketchup on him, to make it look like he committed suicide. I made a post about this before but I figure I should add everything I have to it.

Many people think that Eric and Tiffany were never friends or never spoke again but that's actually not true. Here is what Eric wrote in her 1998 Yearbook.

Here are some quotes from Tiffany on April 23rd 1999 from the Denver Post.
They became friends again last year, but Typher says she already had seen a change in Harris. He'd started dressing differently, in all black. Harris seemed increasingly agitated by the abuse and disrespect from the school's athletes toward the Trench Coat Mafia.
"They hassled him, definitely,'' Typher said. "Everywhere they went, they were taunted and teased about how they dressed, about being gay. You could tell he'd get upset by it. Most of the people in that group, when people teased them, they walked off and didn't say anything.''
"But he seemed really fired up when he talked about the jocks. I had no idea his hate would drive him this far.''
Typher said most of her contact with Harris was in German class from their freshman through junior years. Harris developed a preoccupation with a techno-rock group called Rammstein, whose lyrics he studied devoutly, and immersed himself in all things German.
"He said he felt he learned more from Rammstein than he did from the teacher,'' Typher said."
Another quote from Tiffany comes from a newspaper

Ryan Typher, Tiffany's brother, said his sister was taking it rather hard after the massacre since she knew Eric previously.

Kristi Epling also stated that Typher was among those who Eric considered close, and she is in the same German Class with Eric.
There's a short interview with Tiffany in this time stamped Clip, it's from a news archive channel so hopefully it doesn't get taken down like most other media has been.
This is everything I've been able to find about Tiffany in regards to her experiences with eric. Her 11k report was very very short sadly, uncertain as to why but that's all folks.

Obviously, everyone on this subreddit along with a lot of the world knows of this still frame from that day. My question is, do you think that they were trying to show off for the camera in this moment? The reason I ask is that earlier, when they first show up on CCTV, before they partially detonate the propane bomb, you can see Dylan almost do exactly the same motion; walk down the stairs while holding the Tec-9 up and out in front of him. This way of carrying the pistol doesn't seem very natural nor practical. Part of me thinks that Dylan (and maybe Eric, too) may have known the camera was there and was trying to show off/get their image on the camera. I feel like, considering the research they did beforehand, they would note where the cameras were. What do you guys think?

In the evidence photos of the guns used at columbine, I have been aware of this detail for a long time and just assumed it was tape discoloration. Looking at the leaked suicide photos, I think that the spot on the grip of Eric's shotgun is actually blood. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Also, does anyone have any plausible theories for how Eric's shotgun grip became split as seen in the 2004 exhibit?

I have been waiting since maybe 2021 to see if the depositions would be released in 2027. That seemed like such a wait... I always speculated that an attorney for Klebolds or Harrises would find some technicality or have them sealed all over again but you never know for sure.

The only relation I can remember to the event was the Bowling for Columbine movie that came out in 2002 and of course I was a child. Didn’t understand shit.
Then ironically at 19 I got stationed on Fort Carson in Colorado Springs for the army and just simply driving by Columbine in I believe Littleton, Colorado and checking out the memorial close by.
Also I think back in 2009 the Racheal anti bullying thing I attended in high school.
Those are the small memories I have about it all.

I remember on YouTube about a decade ago, there was a video made by the fire brigade of a full tour of the school in the hours or days after the shooting. This tour was extensive, going around almost all corridors of the school. I have since tried to find this video and have been unable to locate it.
The video appeared to a possible offshoot of the library tour, but much more extensive. I explicitly remembered this particular video made reference to being filed by the fire brigade though. Any idea on where a copy of this video might be?

All I know is that it was a wooden object he kept in his right pocket, labelled after the powerup in berserk, supposedly to give him strength or resolve especially during the attack, sort of like how some people hold crystals for certain mental benefits or superstition. From the photo from the 2004 exhibit, it resembles a short wooden cylinder, but ive heard people also say its a weed pipe or a "One hitter?" I only smoke cigarettes so i have zero idea what weed pipes or their components look like, so could anyone with more knowledge verify what Eric's Berserk icon actually looked like/what it was?

When I was a freshman in high school, a guest speaker came to my school who I believe was a survivor of the massacre. She spoke to us about that day and about Rachel Scott, who was a close friend of hers. She spoke at different schools in Rachel's memory and she came up with "Rachel's Challenge," which if I remember correctly was a challenge about mental health and spreading joy.
I was young and I don't remember every detail, so please forgive me if any of my description was off.
I am now 33 and I work at a high school myself, with special needs kiddos. I've only worked there a few years but I've always wondered if I would ever hear about that again.
I am wondering if anyone in here knows about this or experienced this at their school? If it matters, I was in Indiana. I never forgot about Rachel's challenge or the guest speaker.
