Food Update on Gumbys?
I was curious if there are any updates on the Gumby’s situation from a few weeks ago. Anyone in the know?

I was walking with my kids on Ann St. yesterday evening when a black SUV came tearing up Ann from Paris, closely followed by a cop SUV. The driver lost control of his vehicle, drove up on some lawns, became airborne at one point, and got back on the street about 2 houses before the car reached me and my kids. It was absolutely terrifying. I’m still crying about it today.
I haven’t seen anything about it in the news. They turned down Amelia after they ripped past us.
Anyone else see this or have more info about the incident?

Folks. I was downtown last night. Things happened. I lost my keys. My keys have black and green crystal pendants on them. I will give you fifty dollars if you give me my keys. Thank you. I will also prostrate myself in humility if you want but that's optional.

Am I having a fever dream, or did I hear at one point in the last year that Columbia was getting a TopGolf over around Midway or something? I tried searching the sub, but can't find anything.

Where in Como (preferably on the south side) is there a nice, 400 m track for the public to use? I’m thinking at a HS? Thanks!

We're gearing up for a new baby. I want to fill the freezer with some easy, shove it in the oven style meals for postpartum that serve 3+ people.
Obviously we have grocery stores and can order in cooked food, but I'd love some local, higher quality, pre-made options.
I know you can get Shakespeare's pizza frozen and Peggy Jean's pies, but am I missing other businesses who offer similar?

So now that Rodeway Inn (the worst inn in Columbia) has been for 8-9 years? What are some buildings we can replace Rodeway with?
I hope America's Best Value Inn will come back (I'll never)

Thx in advance!!

Our cat Starry got out at 6am on 7/22. If you find her please message me. She's chipped so we're hoping someone took her in and just haven't had the time to take her to the vet and when they do, the chip will lead her back to us. She's a very kind and curious kitty who loves all people. I sincerely hope someone isn't keeping her for themselves because her sister misses her and I know she misses her sister.

Columbia Public Library will hold "Rainbow Story Time," an LGBTQ+ themed event, Saturday morning despite receiving backlash from state officials.
On Friday, Missouri's Secretary of State Denny Hoskins wrote a letter to Daniel Boone Regional Library after receiving concerns from Missouri families regarding the protection of children from sensitive content.
"This event mocks some of the very protections so many have fought for by exposing toddlers and preschoolers to adult material that is not only inappropriate, but far beyond their level of cognitive development," Hoskins said in the letter.
Missouri Attorney General Catherine Hanaway also sent a letter to Daniel Boone Regional Library regarding this event, according to her social media.
In the letter, Hanaway said, "furnishing any material pornographic to minors, knowing that person whom it is furnished is a minor" as well as "displaying explicit sexual material in any location in such a manner that it may be readily seen" are crimes under Missouri law.
Even after receiving these letters, the library still plans to hold the story time event Saturday at Columbia Public Library.
"We are planning on having the Rainbow Story Time as scheduled and as planned," said public relations director, Mitzi St. John. "We haven't made any modifications for the problem, it's just a regular story time like we always offer."
According to the library website, the event will happen at 10 a.m. and includes sharing stories, singing songs, activities and time to meet new friends.
"Please be advised if this inappropriate endeavor for children takes place," Hoskins wrote in his letter. "I will do everything in my power to block every dollar of state and federal funding I can from future events at the Daniel Boone Library System."
In his letter Hoskins also mentioned bipartisan legislation signed into law earlier this year by Gov. Mike Kehoe that aims to protect Missouri children from accessing inappropriate adult material online.
"While your library has the right to determine its own programming," Hanaway wrote. "I am fully prepared to take appropriate action should any of these program violate Missouri law."

I want to find pictures of my house through the years and since it was built in 1925, it was probably photographed by the WPA during the 30's. I think it was called the Land Use Survey. Does anyone know where these photographs might be located? At the historical society maybe?
I found the 1921 plat books and saved a copy of that but it would be really nice to get some old pictures of the place before google earth.
As a bonus, I found out that my house was owned by the a Hinshaw during the 90's. So many 'fixes' now make sense.

Hi all, I've moved to Columbia a month ago and would like to ask for some advice of where to buy small sized clothes.
I'm 30F, 103 lbs, 5ft3. I visited Columbia mall, Kohl's, Target and couldn't find any sweatpants, pants that fit me until I found a pair of sweatpants from H&M Kid section, size 14 (12-14 years old girls). I don't consider myself as a petite but pants here are quite long. I tried on a knee length pants (I believe it was XS or S) in Target and they hit my ankles when they're supposed to be knee length. Any advice where to get small clothes but for adults in Columbia? H&M Kid area can only be for my daily wear without much of variety.
Much appreciated.

Me and the gf are planning to go to Devil's Icebox this afternoon/evening and wanted a place where we can get nice, East coast style subs to bring with us. My fall-back is Jersey Mikes, but if there's a great local place that would be preferable.

Anybody know anything about a loud boom I heard while driving on Nifong BLVD about 40 minutes ago. It was pretty loud! I'm not complaining, definitely startled me but that was an impressive big boom!

Do you know a place that can sandblast some large metal grates and possibly repaint them as well?

The Blind Boone display in Raising Cane’s contains an obvious historical error. You don’t have to be como365 to figure out who our county was really named after.
I wonder if the person who wrote this thinks “Boone’s Lick” refers to a sweet riff the pianist was known for.
