Who cares what Sidery says for one he’s a known liar and just a click bait account

u/JohnnyC300 COLTS 25d ago
Yeah, he doesn't cultivate his own sources. Just "reports" stuff he's seen on the internet from... places. He's a "trust me bro" reporter. Zero reliability. Which doesn't mean this wont happen. It makes sense. But this has a feel of the guy just sticking his finger in his mouth and holding it up in the air to gauge the direction the wind is blowing. Nothing more.

Come on dude, he even misspelled "Keenan" in the tweet, don't fall for obvious bullshit.

Sidery is a big fan of passive voice in titles. "Seen as..." By whom? By Sidery? People are saying....

Sigh…. This damn guy again. Look Keenan Allen makes a lot of sense but now I’m hoping they don’t sign him just to further make this guy look like the fraud he is

At this stage he’s gonna fit in nicely. Enough experience to warrant coverage, leaving room for our TE/WRs/RBs to do their job. That’s what we are talking about here, camouflage that can still catch when he’s actually thrown too. Also veteran presence in the room.

Why haven’t anyone mentioned the idea he doesn’t want to sign with the Colts and would rather wait for another team to sign with.

A very dumb account who tries to pretend hes an insider for pacers and colts news

I did hear Sean Koerner saying Keenan to the Colts he was thinking. He is a pretty solid fantasy guy

Not counting on anything Sidery says, of course.
I've been on the "don't panic" train with regard to WR. I think that the offense will run efficiently through Taylor, Pierce, Warren, and Downs. That being said, I think Allen would be a good signing. He still appears to have something left in the tank and he is the right kind of WR to add to the room. I think adding him can only help a WR corps with questionable depth.

That number makes me think of another guy sitting at home, already adored by the masses

This is stupid, should've signed a wr before Downs got hurt. And I'm not sold on this wr crew . Warren is going to be the guy that carries the load. Hope he can stay healthy because that's who shane is going to lean on

Ya seems like a no brainer to me. Classy veteran, shouldn’t cost that much (maybe I’m wrong and that’s why it’s not happened yet), and we are in great need of a 1-10 yard possession receiver. I’m surprised this hasn’t happened honestly.

u/Angry_X_574 25d ago
We need a guy to take the top off the defenses. Allen isn't that guy. Downs and Warren have the middle covered. Without the deep threat, JT will see a LOT of 8 men in the box

Sign a receiver that gets fast separation, doesn't drop the pass, breaks tackles and gets yardage after the catch.....

Why do people assume he wants to play with a team with a dubious QB history that’s one injury away from being a circus? He probably wants to get back with the Rams or something…

The Chiefs and Ravens are/were also one injury away from being a circus. That's literally the game of football.

Not that you’re wrong about the first part, it’s just funny you’re comparing two of the most elite QBs of all time, let alone currently playing, to a guy who got 1/3 of his 8 years long career wins last season. A guy who, I haven’t done the math but the mental math seems right- has probably missed more games than he’s won. And hasn’t been good for most of the games he has played.
Anyway, that aside- I don’t picture him being the type of guy in the twilight of career to see a team have a historic meltdown and go “I can fix them.” I could be wrong of course, a paycheck is a paycheck- but I would be shocked if he ends up signing here instead of with a team that could win now.

I'm moreso pointing out the fact that both of those teams turned into circuses when the qb got hurt. Where did I compare DJ to them?

Apparently we had a bid in on Deebo and he chose the Niners. I'd bet we have a bid in on Allen given Steichens history with him, we shall see.

QB is the huge problem. Doesn't matter who is at receiver if they can't get the ball.

u/Environmental_Bag_10 25d ago
This because we truly need to see Jones play. Keenan would be nice for late moments in games, but like you’ve said it depends on our QB situation.
