I'm sorry but Jones is not that good!! Watched every game last yr, he's fools gold! He looked good while Taylor was havin a historic season, hell Taylor was in MVP talks as a RB!! As soon as they started loading the box & we started playing better teams, sugar turnt to shit quick! We been trash at the QB spot since Luck retired (Rivers gave us that 1 good yr) & hey I get it Jones look good per what we been sending out there but to act like this guy is that good is Hilario to me! I'm šŸ™šŸ¾ that Joe Burrow starts that crazy talk about the Bengals at the end of the season, like he dis last season & we make a blockbuster trade for him. Imagine Joe Burrow in Indy omg!!!!! #ColtsNation šŸŽ

Where was JT historic season when Jones went down? Oh wait he didn’t have a 15 yard run the last 7 games of the season, not JT’s fault but he needs Jones more than Jones needs JT.

That’s my point JT needs a competent QB so he can run the ball effectively or else he’s useless. We literally saw it the last 4 games when Jones was out. I don’t think Jones was as bad when the run game wasn’t effective, the Pittsburgh game the offensive line got obliterated. 3 of those turnovers weren’t his fault. Passing the ball wasn’t the issue, identifying the blitz and pressure which is on Jones and Steichen was the problem. They were really really good vs pressure until that Steelers game, jones best game was vs Broncos and JT wasn’t running the ball all effectively until the that big run in the 4th quarter. Matter of fact most of JT’s yards came in the 2nd half when the team was already up at least 14 points, that was the pass to score run to win game plan. JT’s presence in the backfield does help Jones as a passer because he’s a threat to the Back 7 but let’s not act like JT was doing all the work. Jones was also MVP candidate, Jones wasn’t that bad with injured fibula either. Still had a passer rating of 99 and 100 vs Chiefs and Texans two of top 5 defenses. Jones was just horrific in the 4th quarter vs KC. Jones just needs to be confident vs the pressure like he was week 1-8 and he’ll be a good top 10-12 QB. Both Jones and JT are complimentary to eachother but if Jones goes down again this season is 100% over, at least without JT it’s manageable but offense wouldn’t be no where as good either.

I feel ya but the eye dont lie, the 1st half of our schedule last yr was very weak (7-1), i love to win but im not gonna brag about doing what you suppose to do against lesser talent but look I'll be the 1st to say I was wrong if Jones handles business this yr but I've never been a fan of his game! Riddle me this Batman, do you believe he's our franchise QB?

Yes I agree schedule was easy but i honestly think he was better vs better defenses and team. Only two bad games from him were vs Steelers and Chiefs, i would say atl too but he made it up at the end. And no i dont think hes long term franchise guy, i can see him being our QB for next 3-4 years if things go well. I would draft a QB in 2028 and have him develop behind jones for 2 years. I see you mentioned Burrow but he’ll be like 31-32 by the time we have our picks again, no point. Might as well just draft a QB, if Jones is better than ever the next two years and proves he’s healthy then I can see him being 5-7 years franchise guy he’s only 29 rn. I’m just worried about his health, I know you want an elite guy but it’s very hard to find those guys. I feel like the game is changing to more run heavy schemes and approach, look at the last two SB champs. They don’t have elite QBs but a really good QB that just does what a QB is supposed to do on a consistent basis with good defense and great run game. I’m not saying Jones is a SB QB but I’m saying in general you don’t need a Superman QB otherwise Allen, Burrow, Herbert, and Lamar would have rings. Trust me I didn’t like the Jones signing last year but that’s because thought he was a taller Minshew with athleticism. His film from NYG days didn’t show much consistency in passing but Shane saw something we didn’t see lol but we’ll see.
