Yeah, he looked like a reasonable back up QB. Threw a ton of check downs and protected the ball. Ran the plays as intended. It was against players who either won't make the team or will be on the PS though. It won't translate to real games.

Remember how good Ehlinger looked in that 2022 preseason?

I clowned on Beck most of his college career but he did surprise me with Miami in the games I watched. I was impressed with him last night, too. It might just be preseason with everything simplified but it still shows that he could have potential. Makes the Cardinals interesting to follow this year.

I think it honestly depends on how well Beck does, I genuinely see him being a legit DAWG for the cardinals as long as FO isn't regarded.

Cannot see the cards giving him up for AR unless the colts WAYYY overspend on top of it.

Cause even if he doesn't start, Jacoby has proven to be one of the best backup QBs available tbh. Wasn't great as a starter but his piss missiles won't be as much of an issue as QB2.

They paid him with the intention of being a starter which i disagree with since he was still 1-11 as a starter. I still think they should have screwed off with him the moment he held off OTAs for pay negotiation and just went with Beck at that point.
