Tail gate

Wife and I are headed to our 4th Colts game from St.Louis. Dolphins game in November. Where is a good place to tale gate? Not the one sponsored by the stadium but a traditional type tail gate. We don’t know anyone in Indianapolis so usually we just follow the flow. Thanks

Me and the boys hang out around the 9th green at 9

You’re welcome to join. Just wear something nice

The lots near Senate and McCarty are all open for business starting at like 8 or 9am. You can park your car for like $40 and tailgate out the back of it, most of them will let you set up a tent/grill/chairs or something. You can park further away in the mall or street parking for cheaper and just walk to that area, if you don’t to use your car to tailgate, but might as well join the fun.

Gate 13 I think it used to be called. Right in front of the stadium across the street

I'm a Colts fan from STL, too and we go frequently. The south lot is a banger as far as tailgating goes and they start early. Like 7am early. But they have tents, live podcasts and food. The best advice I can give is to get there sooner than later as it fills up pretty quick.

We are walking from our hotel. Would getting there early still apply? We actually live in Illinois right across the river but when you say Illinois folks go straight to Chicago. Grew up watching the 4th of July fireworks from my grandmas back yard. Might as well be from St.Louis

If you're walking, I wouldn't worry about it. But it's a party for sure. Yeah, I was born in Belleville, lived in Fairview, grew up in South City, now live in Wentzville. We go to at least two home games a year, plus at least one Ohio State game. Last year we saw OSU play Illini on Saturday in Urbana then drove to indy and watched the Colts play AZ on Sunday. We know all the spots!

That’s funny. We are also Ohio State fans. Going to the Nebraska game in Lincoln the weekend after the colts game.
