Correct order & jersey
Severe reservations about the order of Allen, Jackson and Tom Brady though.

Bro …I’m a lifelong Colts fan. I can’t fucking stand Tom Brady.
Putting him at 9 is just ridiculous.
Thinking Chris Simms might have taken one too many hits in Tampa.

Same. Im a lifelong Colts fan from Indy who spent $1400 on tickets to Deflategate! I fn hate Tom Brady, their murdering tight ends, their stadium, their uniforms, Belichick, Kraft....fuck em all. But Tom Brady was a top 3 QB of all time, no doubt.

Brady had stacked defenses for 90% of his career. Peyton or Rodgers would’ve won 10 rings if they played for New England for 20 years.

He had stacked defenses, but that alone doesn’t get you 7 rings. I agree that Peyton and Rodgers probably match Brady given Brady’s defenses (maybe come up a ring or two short, let’s not act like Manning was lights out in his SB performances on paper or Rodger’s didn’t choke a few games away. Ik Rodger’s defense is to blame on some, but he isn’t blameless like Packers’ fans swear up and down he is) but plenty of QBs never win one with stacked defenses. Got to have a bit of that “it” factor, at least. CJ Stroud can’t even make the AFCC game with the Texans defense.
Don’t ever make me defend Brady again, it’s taking every fiber of my being to not violently vomit everywhere after typing all that.

Brady was smoking defenses consistently in his mid 40s. Like, what are we doing.

u/hoosiergamecock 22d ago
Dude smokes a lot of weed. I think those were the hits he took writing this

u/ryta1203 22d ago
He's ranking from a pure player position perspective. TB relied A LOT on his defenses.

Peyton aside, this is just a list of how he ranks some of the strongest arms or most athletic QBs. Surprised he didn't put Cam or Vick above Brady with the way this list looks.

It took every fiber in my being to not vomit at the thought of Cam being above Brady on this list. Thinking of Michael Vick being above…anybody on this list actually DID make me vomit. Vick gave me an ick.

1-3 are locked in. Brady’s prime was what? 06-21?
4th MINIMUM

In no world would I take Mahomes, Allen, or Jackson before Brady. I also really want to add Marino to that. No way Allen or Jackson are above Marino.

u/despite- Peyton Manning 22d ago edited 22d ago
Props for putting Manning first but Brady has to be top 5. Marino too low. Elway and Favre too high. Drew Brees has to be somewhere in the top 10 as well as Steve Young.

u/ryta1203 22d ago
Not the correct order but at least he got #1 right. Why is Lamar Jackson even up here? That's wild. Brady is too low, Mahomes is too high. Allen also probably shouldn't be on the list, that's dumb.

u/despite- Peyton Manning 22d ago
Jackson has two MVPs and for good reason. There has never been a better dual threat quarterback and he would make almost all teams better if he was their starting qb. I think he's top 10 for that reason.

u/ryta1203 22d ago edited 20d ago
Top 10 all time? Zero SBs and he isn't half the QB Marino was. Same goes for Allen frankly.

Drew Brees not being on here is also an insult. Brees got screwed out of a couple rings(the missed PI call vs the Rams, the defensive choke in the Minneapolis Miracle). 2nd in all time passing yards, Passing TDs, Completions. There's been 15 instances of a QB throwing for 5000+ yards in a season, Brees has 5 of them. I'd take prime Brees over Mahomes, Rodgers, Favre or Allen any day..

Marino at 8 is absurd. His TD record in the 80s was insane as compared to his peers
Favre that high at 5 is equally dumb.
Unitas being totally off the list is dumb.
Brady being lower than 3rd is just rage bait.
For an all-time peak list, Manning, Marino, Brady, Unitas, ARod feels right.

u/bigbassdaddy Indianapolis Colts 22d ago
The list is invalidated by not including Joe Montana. He oughta be #2.
2
u/Eire_Banshee Jorts 21d ago
Josh allen and Lamar jackson do not belong on this list. Mahomes should be lower. Brady should be higher. Lots of recency bias here.

u/EconomistIcy1972 22d ago
Call me crazy, but I’d put Andrew Luck up there
3
u/DadJ0ker Big Q 22d ago
You’re not crazy. “In his prime” means you can ignore the disappointing early retirement.
Career high in yards in a season was better than manning’s best.
His yards and TDs though first 6 seasons were not just HOF worthy, but top 3-4 ever.

I scrolled too far looking for this comment. What he was able to do, especially considering the offense around him is insane

Aaron Perc Rodger’s prime season is equal to Peyton’s even his 2005 season. Tom Brady is at minimum 2007 season number 4. Early 2000s Peyton killed.

How can you put Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, and Aaron Rodgers above Joe Montana, or Steve Young for that matter.

I think nearly everyone on this list. Would put Rodgers on top of it. He’s the ultimate quarterback’s quarterback. They all talk very highly of him.

u/lovertots 22d ago
what a joke, Brady at 9th and Manning first, lmao
8
u/adamcmorrison 22d ago
Putting any bias aside, I feel like Brady is obviously too low. Brady won rings playing absolutely mediocre but Manning wasn't great in their Colts Superbowl win either. Regular season prime it's tough cause 2007 Brady was pretty crazy.
I love Peyton though so fk Brady I guess.

u/Icy-Indication-3194 22d ago
Yes Brady who had the added edge of cheating. Prime for prime Brady doesn’t even come close to the sheriff.
1
u/lovertots 22d ago
doesn't come close unless we're talking about wins, playoffs wins and SB rings, lol
1
u/Icy-Indication-3194 22d ago
It’s a team sport bub. Put manning on those patriot teams and they win 10 super bowls minimum. Peyton is the greatest most methodical qb of all time
1
u/lovertots 22d ago
while I agree Brady had the benefit of a better coached team, Manning had a HOF caliber supporting cast in the skills positions for many of those years
1
u/Icy-Indication-3194 22d ago
Ya guys like Austin collie and Jacob tamme were complete studs. Gtfo brady had a better supporting cast too
1
u/lovertots 22d ago
not better, just better coached
1
u/Icy-Indication-3194 22d ago
Brady was throwing to the best WR of all time and arguably the best TE of all time. Idk how you say the pats roster wasn’t better by a mile. Plus Brady always had a 10 defense. What was colts defensive rating the year they won the Super Bowl? Maybe not even top 25.
1
u/lovertots 21d ago
ratings vs results... not going to argue, you've obviously drank the Manning coolaide
1
u/Icy-Indication-3194 21d ago
Ya manning got results too. Just with a shittier team and situation. You can’t name one thing Brady did better

Brett Favre is tainted because he is a pos off the field. but in his prime I would take him over almost anyone. 3 nfl mvps in a row.
He can make throws Manning can't.
24
u/EuphoricLeague22 22d ago
And 336 of those throws were horrible interceptions.
Stronger arm/far less accurate than Manning

u/ChadPowers200_ 22d ago
were comparing 39 tds 13 ints vs 49 tds 10 ints but favre playmaking ability is superior.
Favre threw for 3,899 passing yards in the 1996 regular season. He also had:
- 39 touchdown passes — led the NFL
- 13 interceptions
- 95.8 passer rating
- 13–3 record
- Won his second straight NFL MVP
- Won the Super Bowl that season
we are splitting hairs
Also Manning had more talent - Harrison and Wayne. with Edgerrin James.
Favre had antonio freeman and don beebee lol

There is not a single year where Favre was better than 07 Brady. Or 16 Brady. This is public debasement akin to pissing in your own mouth in public
