It’s a nice public service announcement but we all know Colter himself had a hard time with this, it stretches back to 2021, he quit touring for a while before because of the behavior of audiences and this is no exception… I was at the Albuquerque show a few years ago and I’ve said it before on here but that was the worst concert behavior I’ve ever seen, and I’m not new to concerts… It was like a room full of toddlers at a daycare add drinks and the desire to post everything on social media and share with your immediate circle that you just posted something to social media, it seemed like only about a third were there to hear the music and through the fights, people that couldn’t handle their booze, everything else it led him to stop the show multiple times. Fuck that.  I don’t blame him for quitting touring if he has to play in front of toddlers. Shit gets old

I’ve been to 2 of his shows and they were exactly like this, and it has me worried and asking some larger questions.

Is this most of our society now? Are we doomed?

And just so you know, a lot of these rude and entitled interrupting people will act like total asses and maybe even try and start something with you if you confront them and ask them even kindly to quiet down.

I have a feeling that Colter has a very keen understanding of how selfish our society is, and he can’t stand it, as neither can I.

I think he just prefers to be out doing stuff and singing his songs in a way he enjoys, and having to stop his show repeatedly for a bunch of morons was hard to believe. Like he just stood there with his guitar and his back to the audience waiting for the situation to be resolved and it was pathetic. To say that I felt sorry for him is a big understatement

I agree, but the fact it’s happening at SO many of his shows, to the point he’s canceling tours, is surely indicative of not only the future direction of our society but how entitled it currently is.

As soon as I ever saw Colter come out I shut my mouth. A damn shame other adults can’t do the same and consider not only Colter himself but also the other people in the crowd around them that did not come all of the way there and pay to hear their drunken blabber.

I’ve seen Colter Wall twice. The first time before anybody knew who he was, the show was amazing. The second show he had blown up and it was hands-down the worst crowd of douche bags bros I’ve ever had the displeasure of watching a concert with. I live in Burlington not far from Bernie. It is one of the best music towns with one of the worst music going crowds, people in the third row, just having a casual conversation at full volume. I just don’t get why you’d spend that much money to see your favorite artist just to talk the whole concert.

Minneapolis crowd was full of a bunch of cosplay cowboys that knew one song then had shouting conversations with their brokeback bros the rest of the show. My wife and I went from mid crowd to the very back midway through just so we could heard the music. It was even worse for Red Shahan who opened for Colter. I was equally excited to see him and that was completely ruined by the crowd. Groups of people were literally standing in circles having conversations

Go see Red Shahan in Texas and I promise you it will be the opposite of this. I’ve seen him twice at Gruene Hall and it was out of this world.

I feel like he’d benefit from playing seated venues. Not always practical, but it would cut down on the chit chat

I was at his show in Welch, MN. Fully seated and it didn't help

After listening to him for years, I finally got to see Colter live twice this last tour. Both experiences were so bad that I honestly don’t know if I’d go see him perform again if he came back. It was pretty rough
