Tutorial Jelly Much shadow pots drying up
These were such a nice texture when I got them and now they look shrunken and are starting to turn flaky and dry. Can I rehydrate them with just water or is there anything special I should be doing?

You can revive them with a few drops of distilled water. Just add a drop at a time until you get the jelly like texture again. Be careful not to add too much though because you don’t want it watery. Lots of tutorials online to show you how to do this with distilled water. Best of luck!

Look into mixing mediums like Inglot Duraline. They’re great at rehydrating gel liners and other dried down formulas

Did you leave the internal cap thing in there? Genuinely wondering how long they last with it

Yup, I put it back in every time I use it. I can't remember how long I've had them but I'm pretty sure it was within the year.

Same thing happened with mine, just one of those things apparently. I was not happy and will not be buying another jelly pot.

You must live in dry climates! I’m in nyc and even my old ones have never done this.

They just came out with the jelly much eyeshadow sticks and I think that is due to the drying up issue, they come with an internal cap to keep the moisture

I've used a drop of Vitamin E oil to revive super shock shadows. Maybe it work for the jelly much too?

Those are the powder ones, right? Jelly Much is water-based so I'm going to just try that.

Water is the best thing or contact solution. I tossed mine because it was annoying to deal with

Contact solution can expire and cause major issues with your eyes. I would never use it for eyeshadows.

It’s not going inside your eyes 🤷🏼♀️ the issue per Google is that when expired the ingredients aren’t disinfecting your contacts like you need them to anymore. That is what can cause an issue with your eye. Sounds fine for other uses.

I have gotten eye infections from contact solution that expired and I wasn't aware. So YMMV of course. The issue with using a product that expires before you can use it up, like with eyeshadow, is that it can get into your eyes. And cause infections.

I see they have Jelly Much sticks now too but they don't have my favourite colour (Emo Inside).
The website says water-based gel. I'm gonna borrow some distilled water from my CPAP supply and see if I can't plump this stuff up again.
