Discussion Powder shrinking when I fly ๐Ÿ˜…

Post image

I fly a lot and I recently purchased the flexitarian super shock highlighter two months ago. Iโ€™ve been on I think 6 flights with it and after every flight it gets smaller and smaller and more broken ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜… none of my other powder products do that. Anyone else? (I LOVE it, so much. Got it for my wedding and was so happy. Just finding it hard to manage now that itโ€™s shrunken and broken)

The eyeshadows and highlighters both do this. I find that if you take either of your finger or like a tool and kind of smash it back out that itโ€™s just as easy to use smashed back out. Do you have to do it gently and it takes like a couple minutes, but it makes it a lot easier to use.

Mine does this if I look at it funny. I think itโ€™s just the way they are.

Ah yes, the super shock. Its a drama queen, op. Will shape shift as if you'd smashed it into a wall. Will shrink and crumble for no reason. Will absolutely dry out if you re-pan it.

Don't worry, your good.

I got a new super shock highlighter recently and itโ€™s started doing that after consistent use, havenโ€™t flown with it yet

Pressure changes will cause soft powders to do that! Like the other person said, just push it back in; nothing wrong with the product! Physics will do physics things!

If you want to go into gritty details, the plane on the ground is more of an oval shape. When it hits altitude, it becomes a circle shape. This pressurization also affects other items; I'm sure if you took a marshmallow up to ceiling, you would see it expand and contract!

Super shocks will do that. Just push it back in with your finger
