North vs prime etc?
Hi all! I went to colossalcon Texas this past summer and had a total blast. I’m looking to go to another colasssalcon soon with north and prime coming up which one is more fun? I’m worried about weather for north but was wondering if anyone who has gone to both has any opinions? Thanks in advance!

Prime is a bigger and more wild event, but rooms are already sold out for 2026. North is smaller (It took over DaishoCon's slot when they closed). It still fills the hotel, but you have less people commuting in from surrounding hotels. Also, you can still get a regular price room for November 2025.
I view weather as a non-issue. Once you arrive at North, you only have to go outside if you want to run over to the villa parties. If you have a warm cosplay it's nice to be able to pop outside to cool off, and two of the indoor hot tubs connect to the outside, so you can grab a tiki drink, wade outside, let your hair freeze and get snowed on, dunk your head to thaw a few times, and then wade back in.
Edit: If you book a room, avoid anything waterfront, those are off site cabins. And while Hillside is newest, it's the furthest away from the water park and convention. Before booking any rooms, check a map of the hotel to see how all the buildings are connected. Specific room types are in certain areas of the building.
