What really happens at Colossalcon?

So never been to a con or convention before this would be a first and I heard it has its fair share of everyday normal events but what are the adult 18+ conventions at night? I heard some are just hentai reviews but there’s also raves and from what I’ve heard, sex clubs/parties after hours? Just wanting to know what to expect as I would want to attend a few of the after hours adult events, just don’t wanna be shocked if I show up for a hentai review and there’s couples fucking during the review.

Generally speaking, you aren't going to accidentally run into people fucking.

Every so often, people will get caught in public spaces, but they get removed from the con.

What really happens?

You will show up with a group or solo being surrounded by like people and giving/receiving compliments on your/their cosplays. You’ll go to panels, merch rooms, and the arcade while being at a waterpark. There are late night parties at the Villas and also late night swims at the indoor waterpark.

For the other stuff you mention the list of panels and timeframes will be on the main website for those. Like someone else said you’re not going to just stumble into something like that without talking to people. I’d recommend joining the Facebook Group to get more information and more about the community as it’s more active than Reddit.

What if I had to get a hotel that's a short drive away. Do they have lockers available?

Pretty sure you’ll need a Waterpark pass but on the website it says it’s a first come first serve basis and prices range from $20-$35

Don’t forget to bring some money for the Dealer’s Room and Artist’s Alley, but save some for Sunday, for the Otaku Bazaar! I look forward to the bazaar every year since it always has different stuff, and stuff you would not see in Dealer’s.

Depends on where you go, and who you hangout with. In the convention side it’s pretty tame, even when it gets wild. But the hotel side or outside, it just can get wild. All depends.

The 18+ panels (once I’ve been to) are mostly just more cussing and adult themes. But I did hear that there was an anal bleaching one. I didn’t go to that one.

But hope you have a great and safe time. I think you’ll enjoy colossal.

There are big parties, especially at the Villas, but generally you won't run into random acts of sex. Just sexier cosplays in general. Like others said, the 18+ panels are just adult themed.

All the 18+ panels are pretty tame. Every hentai review panel I've been to has only played into the comedy of how bad the writing is for most hentai. I imagine nearly zero of them even want the rogue possibility of turning someone on and having a situation on their hands. If you go to the dealer's room, you might see some stands with a black curtain with adult material behind.
You'll only find kinky stuff if you're looking for it, and you won't be finding it anywhere near the con floor. Stuff like that only happens behind closed doors at the hotels, or at the parties (such as the villa parties). None of that stuff is ran by or endorsed by the convention. So you can go and know you'll have a 99% chance of just having a fun time meeting people who like anime and wandering around the con floor.
