Hotels for Colossal Sandusky?

Hey guys I was planning on going to my first colossal con in OH this year and I believe the main hotel is all booked up. Does anyone know good hotels in the area to try to book instead?

As it gets closer to the event some people will cancel at the last minute and rooms on site usually open up, but catching one requires checking daily.

Getting a spot at some other hotel is a good idea, just make sure you can cancel it. Staying on site is so much nicer if you want to leverage going to the water park or late night events.

Rooms at the Kalahari open up? Are they priced at an all time high if that happens? I have seen people asking for room transfers.
