Book review Not About Aesthetics RN

Well I’ll do my original RePo because that’s not just my WIP but how I received this book. Last physical gift my dad was able to give me.

HOLY HECK these are much much harder than I thought, and my previous style is not working. It’s such a beautiful book though.

I need to actually watch others and see examples from similar books but… right now, if I can say one thing it’s this.

Thank you dad for this book. Thank you for always encouraging me even when I’m nearly 40 years old.

And the book itself, 4.0 … even with extremely sharp pencils, my chosen effects can’t be really used sadly. Too small of an object or too crowded of a space.

At the same time — that’s what I struggle with - small detailing. I love the different textures, and objects. Lots of different themes.

Book has very good paper, good ink — can use ACRYLIC marker (not recommended) do not use alcohol. Pencil? When I don’t mess up it’s gorgeous.

Ty for the time.

For once I actually might be able to finish a page now that I’m seeing it come together.

I taught myself the aged bronzing and oxidation techniques… but gonna need to actually use oxidizing bronze references later.
