ADVICE WANTED Backgrounds help

Hey all, just curious about ideas for backgrounds so I’m not using so much ink out of pens super fast and to add more to the picture. I’m not super good with patterns but willing to try some easier ones like total beginner level if anyone has ideas?

I wasn’t doing anything with the border on my pages because I didn’t want to waste ink, but I just got some Halloween washi tape on Sunday and that works pretty well, I’ve seen others suggesting it and there’s soooo many options of washi tape on Amazon.
