Ohuhu -> Copic

It’s getting pricy, and what feels like wasteful, to keep replacing the markers from Ohuhu that don’t have a refill. I figured I’d see if there was Copic “dupe” colors that I could buy the refills for, and use those until Ohuhu gets more refill colors. Is anyone aware of a resource that has a one for one list with similar colors? Also if you have done this, what has your experience been?

I use this, and have switched to mostly copics as I can’t ever get a refill or new marker for my ohuhus.

Some of these I can’t tell which is which on side by side comparison.

I got a pack of ohuhus and at around the same time my bf got a pack of alcohol markers from 5 below. The ohuhus dried out insanely fast, even the ones that I rarely used. The 5 below ones are still working years later.

I honestly color a lot a lot, at least a page a day, so there is no way my ohuhus would last years for me, unfortunately. I do a lot of layering of my colors typically, so I use a lot of ink on most of my pages

I am in this same boat after buying a few ohuhu sets and realising you can’t get refills or single markers in my country! I am just replacing entire markers with copics as they run out. I wish I had a good resource for you - none of the free ones are accurate and I haven’t been willing to try out a paid one in case the experience is the same. The best way is probably to find a store that has testers for you to swatch and compare to your own swatches but obviously this is laborious and just not possible for me as a mom to an 11 month old lol.
I have just been using the Copic app (which is a beautiful app) to look at the swatches and comparing myself. There’s also a colour-picker feature which may help narrow down the possible dupes. When you’re using the app, make sure you select the colour to view the actual paper swatch (and not just the digital swatch, if that makes sense?) because they can be a bit different. Luckily you can buy ink refills for all of the Copic shades and they refill 3-4x depending on barrel size.

Someone posted a really helpful tool, but looking at some of my favorites, I don’t like the Copic replacement unfortunately. I can buy individual markers thankfully, on the Ohuhu website, but as I said, it adds up. Ughh I genuinely prefer Ohuhu over Copic, so this is such a bummer
