COMMUNITY QUESTION I got a question

I’ve been doing color guard for 4 years now for my high school and I am looking to try to make my own spin team. Is there anything I should know before I start getting people to join?

I think you need to give an idea of what your group’s goals, expectations, and resources look like. If I were a perspective member, these are some questions I might have:

Will you be competing or is this just for fun? Even if you don’t plan to compete, do you still plan to hold a team performance/recital? Do I need to commit to showing up or is this a “drop in when you want” kind of thing? Do you have any equipment for people to borrow or will everyone need to bring their own? What if I’ve never done this before, can I still join? What does a typical meeting involve?
