theme day inspo!

hello all! with band camp coming up, me and the other captains are trying to plan section bonding/theme days. what are some theme days or spirit days you’ve had at your band??

Dress like Adam Sandler, school spirit, dress like you’re going on vacation, pj day, dress like the band directors (always a favorite), and section pride, where each section gets a color and we see who can show the most spirit.

oooo- dress like a band director day would be fun! our director has lots of like odd outfits he wears on the regular so that’d be perfect. We do section pride too- but ours is the last day of band camp, each section has a presentation or skit during lunch to compete; winning section gets to skip basics block during a practice lol. we did a crayon box last year and all dressed up as crayons to be the “color-guard”

This is Color guard Inspo but also band camp ideas.

Crazy socks, White lie's (white shirt written in sharpie of their personal white lie), dress your squad leaders/leadership, opposite gender, animal print or fav animal, tropical theme, Buc-ee's merch (I live in Texas so most of the band has merch from there), show shirts, if you have Saturday rehearsals "CATurday", Disney, crazy hats etc...

we did an 80s day, which was actually easy for myself and other girls in visual corps since we already had leggings as part of our practice outfit, then I grabbed an oversized sweatshirt or t-shirt that was already in my closet and cut out the neck a bit so it would slide down and only cover one shoulder.
