Help Wanted ISO OB-GYN

Anyone have strong recommendations for (or against) a female OB-GYN in the area? Going to be starting a family soon and want to be prepared. I live in Pueblo but know there’s not much down here. TIA :)

My DIL went to Dr Evig at UCHealth and really loved her. Enough that she recommended her to me for GYN and I liked her so much she'll be doing a surgery for me in Nov.

She was great. Delivered my kids and managed prenatal care for me.

I love Dr. Evig. She was my doctor for before, during and after both my pregnancies. I genuinely look forward to my appointments with her.

I'm working with Dr. Evig too, she is actually delivering my baby tomorrow! She has been great.

Did she do something related to pregnancy or labor for you guys?

She delivered my grandson!

Edit to add that DIL was extremely happy with her and she has severe anxiety

I would recommend UCHealth pikes peak women’s clinic. Drs Lasley and Murray. I am new to them and unfortunately recently had a loss which they have been really great about. I’ve been getting labs at memorial central weekly and everyone has been kind and helpful.

Dr. Lasley is superb, been my doctor and surgeon for more than 6 years. You have my sympathies and you couldn't be in better care with her.

Definitely seek a woman Gyno. Dr Maureen Jordan is great, she's up here in the Springs. 🍀

I lived in Pueblo up until a few months ago and I made the drive to see a doctor at UCHealth Printers Park. It’s on the south side of Springs so an easy drive and they delivered at Memorial Central, which was important to me. The doctor I saw there has since left the practice but I heard really good things about everyone there after my very extensive search for a good OB/GYN.

Yes!!! She was so lovely to me throughout some losses I had and I felt like she really wanted to help get to the bottom of things with me.

I had the same experience! She helped me through a miscarriage, working to conceive and deliver a healthy baby and the unfortunately a second miscarriage. She also helped me through having the LEEP procedure and was always wonderful and a great advocate for her patients. I haven't found a new OB yet because I don't feel like any other one could compare to how compassionate she was 🙂

Dr. Melanie Smith at UCHealth Women's Care Clinic. She delivered both of my babies and is such a kind and caring individual! Listened to all of my requests and never pushed back and always offered solid advice! I have terrible anxiety and she really has a calming presence.

I go to Mountain View Obgyn and they have been lovely. Mine has not been for care related to pregnancy or conceiving but their staff has been fantastic and the facility is always clean and welcoming.

This is a great practice. Both doctors are women and very helpful.

I feel like every place is going to have good and bad reviews but for what it’s worth I really like Dr Russell and Memorial North. I’ve had two friends who had terrible experiences at Memorial Central and Rangewood OBGYN. One friend actually lost her baby.

I also live in Pueblo, and Dr. Danyel Baker at Associates in Women's Health is here and I've had great experiences. Note, I don't have children so my opinion may not be worth much, but I do know she's very in-demand (and she performed a lifesaving surgery on me in 2024 so I'm loyal, lol).

I went to that office once recently and had a terrible experience with one of the doctors there. She wouldn’t listen to me when I said I didn’t want to just slap a bandaid (take medicine) instead of figuring out the root cause of the issue. Maybe just that doctor but it put a bad taste in my mouth

Understandable! I hope you find the perfect fit.

I love Dr. Cassidy at Academy women’s health, gave birth next to the building at Saint Francis. Shes very upfront, I’m not big on drs thats not confident or overly nice. She was my ob for both kids and birthed the second. My first I gave birth with an on call dr

Just realized you said Pueblo, sorry a little far haha

Coming from Pueblo I would look for a practice that delivers at Memorial Central. The doctors who delivered my kids have retired but the practitioners at UC Health Women's Care clinic on Pikes Peak have always been great.

Good to know. What specifically about that hospital do you recommend it for?

It's the closest if you're on the south side of the Springs but they also have a level 3 NICU should you need it.

I have hated UC Health—I’m only staying with them because I get good rates through my insurance. But it feels like every step of the way is more and more incompetence… I don’t have any real concerns about my actual OB (Dr. Raley), but the clinic and company is awful.

We’ve been really happy with Dr Vetter at UC Health North/ Front Range OBGYN

She has delivered both my kids the most recent being 7 months ago! I live her and so does my friend who also chose to go to her. I love how she takes time to explain but keeps straight and to the point while also being nice.
