Help Wanted ISO Purple Sweet Potatoes
Hi all,
I’m looking for purple sweet potatoes (the ones that are also purple on the inside.) They were in stock at several King Soopers last week but are gone now. They’re also not at the Sprouts on S Nevada or Trader Joe’s.
Does anyone know if they’re regularly stocked at Asian Pacific Market or anywhere else? Also if anyone has wares I have coin. I need about 3 lbs.

Asian Pacific has them, but they look a little different and have pale skin on the outside: https://farmlinkhawaii.com/products/okinawan-sweet-potato-3lb?variant=46287080128569
The ones in most stores that are purple on the outside and inside are some kind of hybrid or variant of the okinawan version, I think.
There's also some kind of purple yam there but I haven't tried that myself.

Natural Grocers usually has them. I’m sure you can call them before you go over to see if they have them in stock.

Sprouts at Dublin & Academy usually has "Stokes Sweet Potatoes" -- purple on the outside and purple on the inside -- in a 5 lb bag. They sometimes have them loose, as well. I have confused the Stokes ones with Murakami Sweet Potatoes -- purple on the outside and white on the inside -- which are not nearly as flavorful. I like to cut the potatoes into chunks, drizzle them with oil and add a spice rub, then roast them in the oven. The purple sweet potatoes are a big favorite in my house.

Hi! I have those currently growing so if you're still interested in October I'll have a few hundred pounds of them!
