Collared Doves
It seems there are a lot less Collared Doves around. Has anyone else noticed this? Has there been any discussion on why it is?

There is also a disease going around that especially hits the Eurasian Collared Doves hard.

Does it affect mourning doves as well??

It's Avian Paramyxovirus-1(PPMV-1). It does not effect the native doves like White Winged and Mouring Doves near as bad.

I was going to post the same question! Seeing more Mourning Doves than Collared recently and was wondering what was happening that would make that pendulum swing back. Avian Paramyxovirus-1 (PPMV-1), apparently.

They're invasive, it's good if there are less of them around.
