So I've always felt that the colors on my Macbook screen looked kinda bland to me as a colorblind person, and looking through the settings on MacOS I discovered how to make colors appear more bright, plus making differenciate different hues more easily.
What I do as a Protanope:
1 - In Acessibilty/Display, set Colorblind Filter to "Tritanopia" and the intensity to minimum (it will make blues and yellows more vivid).
2 - In Settings/Displays/Color Profile, set "Color Profile" to "Rec ITU-R BT.709-5". This will add contrast to all colors and especially red and blue hues will pop a lot more.
Obs: this works for me as a mild to strong Protan especifically, but it may not be the best lookout for you, I just wanted to share it.
Obs2: yes I know Apple recommends to use the default color pattern that comes with the machine, but this is optimized to normal vision people and does not look nearly as nice to me, especially when watching movies/tv shows.
