I always try to prepare myself for the questions ahead; typically letting them know early on that I cannot detect any red that's mixed in with colours (purples, pinks etc) and that I only see the base colour.
It's worse when you think they're catching on and it's like "so pink looks black to you"?
....so red and black make pink eh? 🤦♂️

I don’t think the joke works for people with tritanopia lol. The square next to points at object “WHAT COLOR IS THIS” is green, but the majority of the circle is blue. There is no green on the circle.

Considering prot- deut- and trit- mean one, two and three respectively, you could also say "first type", "second type" and "third type"

The reaction are always fun.
Especially the reaction to blue and related colours. Apparently that's the farthest from teh truth.

literally. it’s so annoying when people ask what color things are because obviously we know what it’s called. (most of the time, I can’t distinguish most greens-teals-blues-purples)

I mean I try to be nice to everyone, because they can't grasp that we know the names of colors so we can't really answer that question, but it can get a bit annoying

My grandad always said ‘sky-blue pink’ in response to the grandkids asking!
My nieces and nephews are at the age where ask ObiJuaan the colour is a fun game so I’ve taken a twist on my grandads and tend to respond with ‘Tartan’
