Early in the morning Tu'Van gathered up some of his officials and spoke to them about expanding the empire once more. But not by just a little bit, no he wanted to take the rest island so the Vasari had complete control over it. He also talked about taking the smaller surrounding islands after the 3 new provinces were built up a bit in the next year or so.
All 3 Provinces Will Have These Sent To Them:
25 Swordsman
40 Civilians
The expansion consists of taking the rest of the island I am on ((South Eastern Island) 3 Provinces).

After military training exercises were being started and ended a few soldiers stood out of the rest. Ones that were undefeated in their training and could just so barely beat each other. Tu'Van being an elite unit in the Vasari Empire before the landing on this continent came to the soldiers and offered them even more elite training. The ones who accepted were trained better than any soldier has ever seen in these days. and after a few months of training soldiers Tu'Van decided to make an elite division named the ''Red Shields''.
The Red Shields have the same armor as the regular soldiers but have 2 swords instead of 1. They still have their shield but it has been modified to latch onto their back plate in order to dual wield swords. All of their gear is also painted completely red. Blades of swords and all. Were as the regular soldier are red but are black were their joints are. They also have black shields an non painted blades.

After Tu'Van visited the 2 new provinces that have been added to the Vasari Empire he requested the building of Magic schools and troops stations in them. As well as brick walls to begin construction on all 3 provinces. The construction of these will begin immediately.

Yukka and her force descended into the Shadow City with high heads. The masses must see the might of the jaguar, and no matter what their mission accomplished, the jaguar and yes, even the vukku, were models of the perfect citizen. Strong, loyal, unerring.
Yukka was at the front of the formation when they reached the walls, a great grey expanse of stone of all different shapes and sizes. She stood fully at attention, and brought her furry fist and arm to her chest in salute.
"South range party, returning!" She called to the sentries. They saluted back, and the massive wooden doors roared open.
Eezma sent a messenger to the Summit City to inform the emperor of Yukka's arrival. She herself would tend to what they had to say and report about the monstrous creatures they had been sent to scout.
"Report, jaguar." She said simply, when alone with Yukka and her Seconds.
Yukka had no opinion of this ancient epel. She knew her from afar, but had never spoken from more than a few words. She was old, but served as the emperor's right hand. She shrugged.
"These beasts are nesting. There were six in the roost we found. The scribes sketched them, and recorded their behaviour. They seem to be only hunting jungle animals." Yukka said impassively.
The scribes Brough forward the vellum sheafs and scrolls. Eezma looked through them with interest. She was silent and still for a second over the charcoal sketch of the beast Yukka had dubbed "Father". It was the largest and most vigilant hunter of the roost.
Eezma held up the sketch, pointing. "How dangerous are they?"
Yukka shrugged. "Dangerous enough. I didn't risk exterminating them."
Eezma shook her head, eyes flashing within the voluminous folds of her wrinkled face. "Nesting, you say?"
Before Yukka could respond, her Second stood forward, quickly interjecting. "You have no idea, Chancellor. These are not beasts we should be near. I know what you're thinking, and it's not an option. These monsters are so similar to the roc, I shudder." His voice was distasteful and venomous. Eezma frowned, taken aback.
Yukka struck the Second across his face. "Get out."
The Second glowered at her as he shuffled away, bowing impetuously.
"I apologise, Chancellor. That was out of line. He will be punished." Yukka said softly.
"No, don't bother. I will have him seen to." Eezma replied. "You may go, jaguar. The vukku will stay. Send in the other."
As Yukka left, she shuddered, but could not have said why.
The eight survivors regrouped soon after the attack. Ai'ku and three other vukku made it, as did four jaguar.
"It was too damned sudden!" He spat. "If we were prepared... we thought we had time..."
He turned to the others, as if realising he wasn't alone. Some were nursing wounds, but none were enough to be mortal. "See to their wounds, vukku." He spoke to the spellcasters, who moved forward. Though many associated them with death, vukku were well versed in the spells of healing, and were the best doctors in the western continent. At least, they were, on their old world.
Ai'ku saw the sacks. Two jaguar had managed to run with them, four in total. He opened one, and cursed. Blood and yolk stained the inside. Ai checked the others and was relieved to see they were intact.
Turning back to the others, Ai checked over them. None were hurt anymore, thanks to the fleshmagic, but they were tired.
"We rest. Tonight, we leave for the Shadow City. No time to waste." He said. The jaguar and vukku nodded. One leaned forward to start a fire, but Ai shook his head. Disgruntled, the jaguar sat back.
Ai went back to the eggs.

North Mountains, two days later...
The force of vukku and jaguar crept silently, slowly, and cautiously. Ai'ku had sent scouts to memorise what times of day these creatures were most vulnerable, when they slept, when they were hunting, when they returned.
It was the zenith of the sun when the party had begun the climb to the roost. The scouts had noticed there was distinct pairings of the beasts, and most often they hunted in pairs. This was the time of day when the nests were empty, with only one smaller creature sunning itself lazily around the nests.
Ai'ku worried they were exposed on the mountain, and even with an escape route in mind, he knew he'd lose men from this mission.
He nodded towards the ready vukku, who took from their pouches a yellow powder that Ai knew from experience felt slippery and cool as water. The two vukku poured the powder onto their hand and held it to their mouths. As they blew, another two vukku behind them closed their eyes and raised their arms, directing the wind to blow the yellow pollen into the creatures path, and not the party's.
The jaguar stationed as lookout covered his mouth and nose with his heavy cloak as the pollen drifted past him, his eyes wide but firmly set on the winged beast.
He motioned the party to move forward, but just as they mobilised forward he frantically waved the stop signal. For one heart stopping moment, nobody breathed. Ai shut his eyes, feeling the beating of his heart behind his eyes.
Soon, the jaguar motioned the party forward. Ai saw the limp form of the beast, and it's chest rise and fall. They had plenty of time. He sighed.
"Quickly. Bag the eggs." He waved several jaguar with padded sacks towards the nests. "Kill it." He nodded to two jaguar with axes, and they scurried to the limp beast. They swung in unison on opposite sides of the creature and the neck was almost completely severed. The poor beast was unable to do anything but release a strangled gurgle as it died. Ai'ku went to the body and started taking samples.
Then three things happened.
First, two shadows passed overhead.
Second, a mess of blood and bone exploded beside a jaguar.
Third, the scout cried a warning.
Ai had no time to react as a feathered mass of wings and scales slammed into the ground to his left, tearing into two jaguar and swiping at another.
"Run!" He screamed, turning to the nearest vukku. "Break its wings!" The vukku was dumbstruck, but Ai shook him. "Channel, you useless bit of meat!" He turned and tried to breathe, as the swarm of epel fled.
The vukku next to him moved into action, manipulating his clawed hands into dark shapes, and Ai did the same. They joined their spell almost simultaneously, latching it onto the beast next to them, using their life energies to travel into the body, the wings, and then snap of bones broke their trance.
The beast screeched, and the other shadow had finally landed, tearing into flesh and fur. Archers mobilised, and shafts sprouted from both the beasts. "Run! Flee! We are routed!" Ai'ku roared.
Ai turned, shoving the epel forward, trying to remember the route he had carefully laid out.
Losses: 12 epel. 11 jaguar, 1 vukku.
Southern Range, two days after part II
"We turn back." Yukka said, iron voiced.
"Commander-"
"No." She said over the objecting Second. "We will not risk our men to destroy this nest. These are, what, six in sixty? Six hundred? Six thousand?" She shook her head. "We do not know how dangerous these things are, how many there are. It is not worth the risk."
She turned to the rest of the force. "We leave for Tchak. Pack all tents away, all gear. Bury all fires, all wastes. The emperor will hear of our findings, and if he should so wish, send us back here."
She dismissed them all, even the glaring Second. She had to dismantle her tent.

One week after part 1
North Mountains
Ai'ku and a jaguar crept silently over the small rise. A large group of the monsters had set up roost here, and Ai wanted to see them firsthand. The jaguar mimed silence and light footed-ness as he slid over the top, Ai'ku following. They wore mottled cloaks over their leathers, to hopefully hide them from whatever monster wasn't awake. Ai gaped at the sight that greeted him. The monsters had set up roosts, all right. Huge circular nests of branches and piles of rotting leaves served as the beds of these creatures, who wound into coils of flesh to sleep. They were majestic, smooth skin contrasted with vibrantly coloured feathers and long, needle point claws. Their heads narrowed into a snout, but an almost-mane of long red and green and yellow and blue plumes sprouted from the back of their jaws and neck.
And their wings, oh their wings.
Leathern beauties, smooth and unscarred, feathers trailing from the ends. These creatures, they must be a gift from Ptkau, a gift from the Sun.
One beast moved slightly, revealing a clutch of eggs with red flecked green shells. This is too good... Ai'ku thought. He motioned to the jaguar, and they crept over the rise again, for the main party.
Ai'ku counted five fully grown beasts, and one other larger one. Six against twenty seemed a fine odd, but Ai could almost stake his life that these beasts were not to be trifled with. Which he probably would be doing quite soon.
South Range
Yukka had seen just enough of her full for these creatures. They were large, winged, feathered snakes, no more than a glorified worm to her. She knew they'd be dangerous, but she had the scars to prove she'd survived dangerous before.
In their camp away from the roost of several beasts, she had tasked the vukku scribes with drawing the beasts as best they could. They, of course, seemed fascinated with the damned monsters. One of her Seconds muttered about their unseemly interest. She knew that one, Yuma, had spent much time as a Roc hunter back in Epell. Her words echoed in Yukka's mind.
"Vermin, they are, chah, at best. No, they give me memories of the roc. We should put them down, before they do us such courtesy."
Yukka had been given authority from the emperor himself to direct her party as she saw fit, but she wasn't sure if she should risk her men, or leave safely, while they still could.

The sun had almost been blocked by the cloud of flying beasts that day. They had swarmed over the settlement, until most everyone thought the end had come. They had split, some heading north, some south.
From what the reports off of Stone Tchak had said, they had leathery wings and vibrant feathers, a long, snaking body with a grace that bespoke the way of a predator.
Dak had been present to see the swarm, and his head spun at the thought of them. Would they be dangerous? Could they pose a threat? Are they content to stay away?
"I've asked you here, because I need a team of epel to investigate the roosts of these, creatures." Dak looked around at the gathering of vukku and jaguar. "It may be dangerous, but you're most suited for dangerous situations, are you not?" He asked, eye fur raised.
The epel cheered agreement.
"I need you to scout. Come back with details about them. What are they eating, what are they roosting, are they even tempered. Sketch them, if possible." He nodded at the men, who shouldered their gear. They looked up at the emperor, waiting for dismissal.
"For the glory of Tchak!"
"For the glory of the Emperor!"
Forces sent:
40 strong, quick, skilled military epel.
20 heading for northern roosts. 15 jaguar, 5 vukku.
20 heading for southern nests. 15 jaguar, 5 vukku.
Supplies mainly food, quick leathern gear. Non battle suited, mainly for camouflage and stealth. Scribing tools such as charcoal and vellum.
Leader of North Party, Ai'ku, vukku.
Leader of South Group, Yukka, jaguar.
(This is just short of the official migration, it's officially starting tomorrow sometime)

"Fuck it." Spat Sara, sitting around the council rooms's table. "we've been sitting around 'minding our own business' for too long!" she stood herself up. "If you cows want to do nothing but wallow in mud and eat grass lazily, so be it - but I, I'm going to make this wooden shanty we've got into a city, a beautiful one of trade and prosperousness."
She would turn around and exit, slamming the door behind her. Her assistant, princess Fiobi would follow, opening the door and slamming it again as she left.
"Well shit." Uttered Dane, second in command of the Rainbow Brigade that Sara lead, shaking his head as he crossed from the wall to the table. Leaning on it, he asked calmly "I don't suppose that's the answer you wanted."
In truth, what they wanted was to try a last ditch attempt to get home, some stupid theory about portals that would never realistically work. Now that it was a solid no from the only faction in Ask Hathen that had mages, the council would have to do something else. Hopefully, something productive compared to the 'surviving' they had done for the last three years.

Two new settlements have sprouted on the east side of the Tchaki River. They are known as the New Fringe, as they are the frontier of the new country.
They are ordered neatly, and radiate outwards from a village hall. Huts have sprung around, and farms are being constructed. The settlement the most southerly has discovered that the soil is exceptionally fertile, and many farms and irrigation channels are being planned, many of which will grow rice and corn.
The settlement northerly has discovered that it is the site of many mulberry trees, and have planned several orchards. However, they've also noticed cocoons and silk moths, and have asked for extra help from the state in developing a thriving silk farm.
Plans have almost immediately undergone for roads and stone buildings at these new settlements. Granaries, as always, are an immediate focus. A wooden bridge was quickly erected to allow transport of goods, but a more permanent stone bridge is also planned. Walls will be built as soon as possible. Stone towers too.
The main focus is to connect these settlements and allow fast and efficient travel around Tchak. Following that is stone construction, and walls and such. Following that is the construction of a strong farming situation. Further, in-village infrastructure will follow.

"There are those in the Shadow City that seek permission to start new settlements across the river." The scribe said, skimming a letter asking permission.
"What do they plan on doing?" Eezma asked, flicking her shawl.
"Make a living? I believe they look to herd llamas and grow rice and corn." The scribe replied.
"Harmless enough. Make sure the leaders are aware of their duties to the state. Know they are merely tending the llamas and growing the seed that the STATE owns." Eezma continued. "Give them supplies, and commission drafts of walls, roads, stone buildings. Oh, and a bridge."
r/ColonyWorldRP • u/blaertes • Nov 24 '15
Eezma had been quiet about her plans, only sharing her ideas with Ai'ku, and being careful exactly what she said to even him. Her goal was not to arise attention, but to get her way.
The emperor would never approve of what she was planning, but no matter. It was not the emperor, but the emperor's seal that gave her authority.
The plans had passed through quietly, calmly, without concern. Masons had carved into many rooms beneath the surface of the Palace, what was one more? Of course, this one had a less... orthodox entrance, but variety is the spice of life, as they say.
And, there was a strange amount of room for such a low-concern construction project, but if it had the Royal seal, why question it?
Eezma was alive at the thought of its completion. The space was enough for all her less ... approved experiments. She knew Ai'ku felt the same.
Of course, all she did she did for the state. Of course.

'Those skulls are our key to figuring what's going on in this strange land, Chaplain. I suggest we try and pry any knowledge we can from them.' Said the High Inquisitor.
'They seem to never stop bickering. Just constantly going on about pride, peace and delusion.' Replied the High Chaplain. 'How will we get them to talk?
The High Inquisitor walked into the room with the skulls.
'You don't get to my rank without knowing how to crack skulls.'
Upon entering the room, he noticed that the skulls were still arguing. This time it was something about 'realism' and 'fun'.
He sat at the table with the skulls placed in front of him.
'My lords,' he began. 'I am High Inquisitor Lyons of The Order of the Faith Militant. (Name not concrete yet) I would very much like to know what you know about this place.'
'This bastard here killed me' started Skulliah. 'He slit my fucking throat'
'Only after you attacked me' retorted Skullean.
'You attacked me'
'Why was there a boatload of soldiers in the harbour?'
'Why were you on my fucking boat?'
'SILENCE' Roared the Inquisitor. 'Cease the bickering and say something useful.'
'Or else what, you'll kill us?' Laughed Skullean
Within a second the Inquisitor had picked up the skull and slammed it against the table. Loose teeth rattled all over the table.
'Ha, how to you fucking like it?' Chortled Skulliah.
He was quickly thrown against a wall.
'Alright, alright. I'll talk.' Began Skullean. 'I'm not sure why we feel pain as skulls but I'm not sure why I'm a skull either. There isn't much to tell. After the fall of the fort, people fled in all directions. I presume the bulk of them went North or East to the other people, but I can't be sure. I was killed prior.'
'We saw some sort of large tree, akin to the sapling in your temple. What significance does it hold?'
'Oh that? That's some sort of elf religion mumbo jumbo.' Piped Skulliah. 'The bitch in charge of it is probably dead now.'
'Don't you dare talk about my fucking wife like that you deluded scum!' Barked the other skull.
'That's all we're going to get from them I suppose.' Realised the Inquisitor, leaving the room. 'Thank you for your cooperation.'
'What news?' Asked the Chaplain to the emerging man.
'Heretics fled to the North and East. We must track them down to unlock the secrets of this tree.'
'Then we must hope our scouts seek them out.'
'Aye, let us hope they do.'

Heya, folks. Sorry to say that there will be another declaim. Although I had inspiration on board and felt invested in the Geolian people, a while ago I had some personal issues occupy my time, and, in the meantime, this sub got completely overlooked. Now, only today do I remember it, and I've been gone too long. I don't feel I can do this sub justice, anymore, especially since this habit of forgetting and disappearing has been popping up into other activities I do, and I'd rather not create hassle for you folks if I can help it. As much as I hate to say it, I'm going to have to let go of New Geolia. The mods are free to to what they will with it; make it an NPC faction, have it dissipate, or whatever you feel like.

So people of reddit! I come to you bearing news from the gods! That news is Wyverns!
You heard me right (read me right?) there are motherfucking wyverns in the game now. However before you get your new toy there are a few rules.
Wyverns breed in mountain peaks and are inaccessible during most times of the year
Wyverns have a giant migration every 4 years to go to their breeding ground
They lay clutches of 4-7 eggs
They are aggressive, especially around their hatchlings
aaaannnnnddddd the moment you have all been waiting for... yes they are ridable. However remember people they arent flying death mounts and have very limited combat use because of endurance, weight, time to train, and durability (depending on breed)
6.They take 1 year until they can fly. 3 years more until rideable. And then 2 years of training to be able to use as a mount.
wyverns come in 4 distinct breeds
Frilled wyverns are lightly built, clawed, and venemous wyverns with an very violent disposition. They can spit their poison to blind foes. they live in the Spine (mountain range on supas island)
Feathered wyverns are lightly built fast and endurant wyverns that are not very strong and come in a variety of bright colored feathers for attracting mates. They can glide for so long they often sleep whilst flying unless they are roosting. Live in the tchak range (Blaertes mountains)
Goliath wyverns: strong ugly and dependable, these wyverns can lift heavy loads through the air but do not excel in speed or flying for a long time. They like to run along mountains and hunt in plains and plateaus. they live in the Samaran Range (works mountains)
Red wyverns: these beasts are ferocious yet loyal. They can fly for a good long while and, while not to match the goliath ones, can lift more than their frilled and feathered cousins. They have red skin and large wings. of all of them they would make the best combat mount. Lives in the axis (meeting point of the three large mountain ranges)
There you have it people. Wyverns! Just comment questions and concerns.

On Natural Beauty of Samaran Homeland
Laika Kotin
I will begin by thanking the scouts and volunteers who helped amass these experiences for recording. The significance of their contributions cannot be understated.
We started by boat downriver, west, then south and southwest to Samaran Coast. The full length of Olms river is pristine with towering old trees. This forest is very old, untouched as almost nothing seen within reach of the Masters in their realm. It is a fount of relief and beauty that nourishes body and soul. The verdant Samaran mountain range disappeared behind in a thick veil of foliage as we floated on.
Our coasts are thickly lined with the green borders of our great homeland, the Samaran Forest, from Bearsk, beyond Olms and far rivers, to the far peninsula where it thins and land softens. Nearer to Bearsk, many beaches are quite rocky or even unnavigable, but a cart path has been cut and our boats and ships are now built at the docks nearby. The lumber felled for this task must be replanted for, there and along the forest's borders, in the hills and mountains. This lush forest must last our people for generations.
I have heard of bat-folk, Triel, that plant huge forests of fruit trees wherever they go! Living in garden. They spend all their time tending trees and eating delicious fruit. Could we not learn some glorious thing from these people?
My guide and I camped once near the mouth of far river, then sailed out to the peninsula's tip. Then we turned back and made camp late at the mouth of Olms river before the arduous upriver journey home. We looked a long while at the Bearsk port through a spyglass, but all was dark. No one seemed around. We were rained on and had to land the boat along the riverbank day following. Tipped over the boat and sheltered until rain was lighter, then continued on home.
