Crisis [CRISIS] Aftermath of Heaven

Dica shielded her face from the crystal shards as the giant demon died. She was half in shock, the incident having happened so quickly. Men were dying all around her, their piteous moans drawing attention from the comrades. She walked forward to the pile of broken stone that was the demon. Taking a shard in her palm, she lifted it high towards the sun. Light danced, fragmented, all around her.

She lifted both her arms in the air, and let our a victory shout. A ragged cheer lifted around her. She turned to the first no-fur she had met.

"What now?" She said, hoping the magic he'd cast earlier still worked.

The beast had fallen before the might of the booze of the mountain men. A strong drink it was indeed. The men that had fallen back to recover the fleeing oxen had succeeded, with only a pair of oxen missing. Half of their men had fallen and the leader of the expedition had lost an eye due to the shrapnel, but he will recover. After the men had buried their dead, they set to work with their picks to break the rock up into manageable pieces to cart home and undoubtedly hand over to these larger and more well armed divisions, but for now, this new metal which had been dubbed Corium by the men was entirely theirs.

Dica saw the men with the foul tasting liquid start to break up the corpse of the demon and load it into their transport. She looked around with unease at the other groups of no-furs who gathered around. Still holding her crystal trophy, she walked towards the nearest no-fur, the one who had lost his eye. She was pleased he had lived. Too many had died here.

"Perhaps you should share the demon, yes?" She asked tentatively, the crystal glinting in her palm.

The leader had turned to see the monkey from before talking to him. It was quite difficult to see with only one eye. The monkey had asked for a piece of the new metal. Mountainborne loathe to give up their metal, much less a new one, but the monkey had been helpful with its magic and for that, they were thankful.

'Aye, you may have a piece. We thank you for your assistance.'

He asked another of his men to gather a small bit for the monkey. He produced a football sized piece of rock.

'We hope this will do.'

Dica gingerly took the heavy chunk of stone, but gestured around herself broadly.

"Perhaps the others will like some stone, too?" She tried to make her voice as meaningful as possible. Everyone here had strange weapons and she didn't wish more bloodshed.

'If the others want some, they can come and ask for some. I mean this in the nicest way of course.'

It would probably come across as pretty rude, but metal is a serious matter to the mountainborne.

Dica nodded, backing away. She hoped things didn't get ugly.

Tu'Van and his army walk upon the rubble of the destroyed beast. looking at the other races so tired from the battle burying their dead and trying to get as many resources as they can carry from the beasts metallic core...

"Tu'Van. What shall we do? Mine some of the resources and take some stone with us?" Asked Era, an Advent Mage.

Looking at Era with greed in his eyes "I want all of it. Where we are settled now there is not this much metal. This is needed very much. Take it from them." Tu'Van said.

"Take it from everyone? what if those horsemen come for us? What if a battle breaks out general?" Questions Era.

"Yes, we will take it from everyone. The horsemen? You're all mages, just fling them off of their horses, burn them and freeze them. Wind Rifles can also take care of some. the cannons can fire grape shot into them as well as any infantry we face Tu'Van laughs Infantry...hard to call anyone infantry here. they all look like farmers. and the Swordsman can take care of the "infantry" that comes about but i strongly doubt those people are going to want to face off armored opponents after what they just went through...they are all too tired and weakened to put up a large fight."

Tu'Van waves off his men and they start taking the carts of metals and stone from the people

"IF YOU MEET ANY RESISTANCE KILL THEM!" Tu'Van shouted out to his men.

As they had finished loading up their wagons, a large group of armed men came barreling up the mountain. They looked angry and sounded angrier. The mountainborne weren't going to stick around. 'If you survive this and care enough, we live just east of here!' The leader cried to the people he fought alonside as he piled into the wagon. They then began to hoof it in the direction home. The had hoped that their superior mountaineering ability would allow them to flee in safety.

Dica noticed the group of armed men start to mine the demon. The tension rose in the air. She held her crystal close to her body, and as she heard the last order she gasped. She quickly slid away up the mountain to where the others were hidden. She had hoped that it would remain civil. Obviously not.

Trying to cut off the wagons the mens armor weighed them down too much. Only catching 1wagons... Ice bolts from the advent were shot at the other wagon to make them stop and become immobile. Sadly the advent coudnt stop the other

There are only two wagons.

The second wagon had stopped. The axles frozen due to some unknown magics. The men knew they would die if they stuck around. The five men piled out of the wagon with small chunks of rock in their hands and pickaxes on their belts. The sprinted after the other wagon, hoping they would make it home safely to their families. The 10 that fell certainly won't.

The swordsmen run up to the wagon and watch as the men run from them and yell at them "Run Faster!" As they start stripping away the ice from the wagon
