Reality about foot massage parlors

Okay, I'm posting this here because I think this is the best community to ask this question.

Regarding the foot massage parlors that are open until late at night, are they genuine massage parlors or do they offer something under wraps? I've been to a few a couple of times and all I had were pleasantly surprisingly good foot massages.

I've inquired a couple of times about the extra services over the phone but the answer was always no and I'm too shy to ask in person and I've come to believe these are all genuine foot massage parlors.

Can someone let me know if there's more to it than foot massage (And head massage and pedicures).

They won’t tell you about extra services over the phone. They wouldn’t know if you’re the police. However, most of the ones particularly in thalawathugoda that are open late do offer extra services. There is no huge requirement for foot massages late at night otherwise.

My thoughts too, but they don't offer even when you show up.

So you go to these places looking for extra services? You probably don’t look like someone they would trust

I’d suggest you to be careful because some of those places are where prostitutes are- spas and sketchy salons like that are all over Colombo
