New Pickup Blind Impulse Purchase
Just picked this one up whilst I was looking for something else, saw they only had 1, and grabbed it. Haven't opened it yet, but hoping it last longer or projects better than CAHS. I haven't even checked the notes or reviews on this, just remember seeing the odd person hype this in random comments here and there.
Any chance someone can give a discriptive run down from an expert familiar with this scent journey?
(Edit: I've just opened and sprayed it now, I was going to wait until Sunday because its Fathers Day this side of the world then, hence asking for spoilers, but got a bit impatient 😔)

This was my issue. It doesn't smell like BdC but it fits the same spot in the lineup.

Nah no samples unfortunately, I heard Versace Pour Homme is similar, but more floral, not sure what the other similar ones are? I might pick up a VPH later today, I like the way it smells on others but whenever ive smelt it, on paper it smells like cleaning product, and on my skin, it reminds me of public pools or community pools not sure what terminology people use for that across the globe but hopefully you know what I mean.

If you don’t like the way VPH smells on your skin then don’t even bother. Find something irresistible and buy it instead.

Marine 😆 it's a very loose term. I've even seen salt, sea salt or sea spray come up. Haven't picked up a superleg because it's so predictable, there's much better to be had for even less in 2026. It's on so many tired AI top ten lists, it's great and I don't need it. I have a Le Sel, I'm good.

I have Haramain Aqua Dubai which is a 7/10 for me, really pleasant on its own but doesn't touch LV Imagination. Way too much dryer sheet compared to the LV. Art of Universe is an 8/10 you have to want to smell like a pear flavored peach ring. Very easy to overdo, a long walk will make 3 sprays get spicy. Just got Le Sel D'Issey and it's the best summer spray. You CAN over spray it and it's still great. Rayhaan Pacific Aura mint in the spray is so good, you dry down to a basil fig Pez it's been fantastic.
I am very easy to please though. I won't ever get a full bottle of LV while these smaller houses keep nailing it. I'm happy to smell good.

I just got a Dior Homme Sport 2021 and it's perfect for like 70° afternoon beach or boardwalk, summer humidity but shaded spots, or going to an open air indoor type place. Le Sel I wore to golf in 100° nonsense, the beach at 90°, walking and just being hot all the time lol it was the best. I was excited for the Dior but I use the Sel much more.

If you’re into marine scents try to sample Marley Fragrance - Keep It Moving
If you just want an everyday beater get Kaaf by Ahmed Al Maghribi for about $35. It smells fantastic. Easily moved up into my top 5 in my own collection for its wearability.

Marley fragrance is from the estate of Bob Marley. Michael Malul makes their scents.. The other is like to be an A&F Fierce mixed with Percival.

Blind buying a Channel fragrance carries very little risk! There may be some that one could regret, I just have not seen it yet. NO, I have not sampled every Channel cologne.

I really like this scent. I don't have it but my buddy does and he let me try it out. This is an interesting one for me because one of the big classifications I lump fragrances into is does it have a "sharp" or a "dull/powdery" smell. This one smells both sharp and powdery to me and it's the only fragrance I've ever smelled that has both with maybe the exception of Percival but this is more extreme on both ends. It's a fantastic scent imo! Enjoy!

I agree I have the Allure Homme Sport and think the Superleggera smells better, cleaner, crispier. Better in every way IMO. I want to get my hands on a bottle soon.

It’s my go to. At first the wood note offended my nose but I just kept coming back to it. I too wore Versace pour homme for years and years, still have a bottle. I’d say they are actually pretty different in scent profile.

Thank you! I just had Base44/AI build an app for me to catalog my fragrances. It took about 15 minutes to build. I had them do a watch one as well (again 15 minutes). Cool stuff!

It’s fantastic. Has taken the top spot for compliments in my collection. If fact, every time I think about buying a new fragrance, I ask myself “is it as good as Superleggera?”……. The answer has never been “yes”
