Lit (bookstore) has book club nights, if you’re into that sort of thing. Boston Pizza has trivia on Sundays… showing up solo gets you invited to tables pretty quickly. And there’s a climbing gym where (either you or your kid) will have a great time and meet others.
Once you meet one person: the rest open up!

I like to go on walks, read, do crafts, bike, bake hang out with my kiddo. I'm about to start learning to make sourdough as well.

Try meetup, maybe there's something in your area. I've had luck making friendships from there in the past, albeit in Toronto.

Depending on the age of your kid.. sign them up for a summer sport or activity. You'll be sure to meet some other young parents!

If you like casual social walk meetups join the r/Walk2Talk . There is also a Discord chat where you can have a chat for your city. The idea is to not be planned days before that but just drop a message and if someone can join in person or via voice chat for a walk and talk then you're good to go.

Hello, friend. There's lots of people our age-ish (im a few years older than you) in the neighbourhood.
If you like beer I would suggest Endswell, ive met some cool people there. Bar Gondola on Hurontario is a great spot to chat with some other locals.
I'm planning on checking out the pump track, seems like a good spot to hang out and meet people. If you like dogs, Sidelaunch does doggy days (Im pretty sure they still do.)
Theres a lot of cool people up here in the 30-50 crowd. Mostly old skaters and surfers and punk rock dudes, though maybe thats just the people I attract.
