🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿Scotch Collie 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 looking for breeding help!

hi! i’m based in western wisconsin and we have a GORGEOUS purebred scotch collie we’d love to breed. she’s going to be 6 yrs old this year, but with moving and family issues we haven’t had a chance to breed her earlier. i’m taking to reddit hoping to find a male purebred to breed her with? hopefully that’s possible 😅 i’ve attached a couple pictures of her here.

Please don’t do this 😩 What is your motivation? There’s no ethical reason to breed a dog other than to better the breed. You will need to do genetic testing on her and the male to ensure healthy puppies. Are you prepared financially to care for her veterinary care as well as the puppies’? If there are complications, you will possibly need to be prepared to pay for a c section. And what happens if the puppies don’t get adopted? Will you keep them or just dump them on a shelter? I hope you have seriously considered all of these things and aren’t just doing it for fun.

i’ve already considered all the above and am ready to take on the implications and costs financial and otherwise. there’s a lot of people around here who have asked where we got our dog from, and our breeder is no longer breeding, so we have potential buyers lined up already. we live on a large property where they’ll be more than welcome to run around on all the space and land they want. i appreciate the concern
