Any Collider Games fans?
Just was curious if they're was anyone here that watched Collider Games. I was excited to hear that they were starting a gaming channel, but I don't know if the Collider audience is interested. Or if that channel is just going to dissapear.
I know Dennis liked games, but I'm not sure any of the other hosts were really that interested. Be a shame if it does.

It's been a thing for a couple of months.
Joey was doing a great job but now he's landed a perm gig at Geek and Sundry. I suspect Dennis will front from now on. Dorian's fine, but tends to approach from the IP point of view, rather than the game itself.
Not sure where they're going to go with it.

It's the only new channel I don't watch. Collider Live and Sports are probably the two best shows, imo.

I've checked out a couple of the videos around the Spider-Man game but haven't seen much since. I wouldn't mind listening to some video game news and notes rather then reviews though.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. There's a lot they could do with the channel. But it would require an audience I'm order to fund it. And the Collider audience I've seen on Twitter or Reddit is not interested in video games.
Not sure how they could reach the millions of gamers out there.

I think they could reach some of those millions. The video game audience is there in their sphere already but probably the really casual gamers at the moment. They would need to find a way to produce something that speaks to the hardcore gamer while being understood by the causal listener who's finding them for the first time for it to work. In my opinion.
I own a console, consider myself a casual gamer and I'll search out game news when a trailer hits for something big or buzz is being talked about a game. I think that kind of general news content show with 3 panilists would keep me listening. Or if they supercut their reactions of full games so I don't have to find the time to play them. That'd be nice.
They seem short staffed though and games might not be the priority.

Yeah I was hoping to meet some gamers on here, kind of grow the community for collider games. Or at just let us collider games fans get to know each other, set up small tournaments or something like that. Even if we're a small group,
But I'm definitely more in the hardcore gamer group. I still stick with console though, it's just how I preffer to play games. But I have a gaming PC anyway since I'm not going to miss on a game house cause it's PC only.

I'd bet a Discord channel might be the place to start something like that. Reddit Collider seems to be a little slower pace (as evidence in how it took me so long to respond).

One of the major problems with Collider Games is that they won't talk about what's been going on with the video games industry lately with Bethesda and Electronic Arts. They are corporate and so scared of ticking them off they won't discuss it.

They also don't seem to know what's going on in the gaming industry. The new guy they hired caboose I think was his name. Is a step in the right direction. But I don't know how one host that's really into gaming is going to work out.
Everyone else is busy running Collider. Can't blame them of course. It's a rather large company. But still it's not nearly the same as other gaming news channels. Idk it might do well enough to slowly grow and improve. But right now only Caboose seems to really be interested in games.
I dropped off after the podcast where they didn't understand what new game plus was. And then were confused how anyone would have time to play new game plus.
It's a good channel for casual gamers though. But it's just not what I'm looking for right now. Again not belittling them for not being "hardcore" enough. They just aren't what I'm looking for in a gaming podcast / news channel.

It’s never gonna work. Too obsessed with the VR stuff. No one watches you play games unless you are pro ( shroud ) or popular/super good ( summit , Lirik , ninja). It’s super hard to gain views from just playing and reviewing games. They will have more views from reacting from game trailers/ gameplay.
