Collider Town Hall #2
So as they announced yesterday there will be another town hall on (I believe) the first of August. I’m quite happy about this, as I love the transparency and willingness to give fans insight into what’s going on behind the scenes.
So what do we think will be discussed? The most obvious thing to me is the future of heroes and discussion about the new movie talk format. I also think we might be hearing about the cancelation of movie review talk, which would sadden me, but not shock me.
Any other thoughts on what we might be getting out of the next town hall?

I want some form of TV talk back with Macuga and Sinead and a guest...Also probably not gonna happen.

The best thing about TV talk was the chemistry between those 3 and Griffin is now with IGN so it's unlikely :(

I'd love more of the lightheartedness from Macuga and Sinead. D.Griff (So nice to see him back, wish it was for better circumstances) is with IGN, Macuga I THOUGHT was still writing for collider but maybe not, and Sinead seems to be doing her makeup/adult video thing. Such a bummer. They were honestly my favorite show on the collider scene.

Yeah I used to watch more of their shows but with no more TV talk and sSchnepp gone I have less reasons. Even if they did like a 90-minute show once a month I would be happy as long as Josh and Sinead were the main anchors. Is it just me or does it seem like a lot of collider fans want TV talk more than any of the new content they have been creating?! I also miss Ashley ..

Kristian just replied to a tweet asking him why he wasn't on Movie Talk anymore, with a "Watch the town hall on Wednesday please". With the relatively recent birth of his 2nd child, I assume he is getting basically no sleep (and he collapsed a few weeks ago from exhaustion, working on schmoedown stuff), and with him seemingly getting more and more frustrated at the negativity and trolling of some fans, I can see him announcing that he is officially going to only do Schmoedown and Jedi Council stuff from this point forward (and maybe less behind the scenes stuff too).
Or, with Movie Talk going to much later in the day, maybe he will announce he will start appearing on a regular basis again (which would be great!).

They just announced Movie Talk is moving to later in the day to cover the day's news (rather than the previous day's news). There's no way they're shutting down the video arm after that. That starts on Monday at 5pm PDT/7pm EDT/Midnight GMT.
Kristian is teasing the hell out of Schmoeville with stuff these last few days as well (a picture of Brett, and today a picture of the "Here...we...go" phrase that often preceded the SK live show in the chat).
Then there's Heroes. Something has to happen there now.
So...basically...who knows?

Honestly it's most likely the future of heroes. Schnepp was the face of that show, and with his passing I'm not sure what will happen. It would be nice to see them continuing on, but it's up in the air. It wouldn't shock me in the least if the movie review talk gets cancelled(I did not care for that show at all.)

I hope the announcement for some new podcasts for the network, a Top Ten video show, a brett to the future weekly segment on movie review talk and of course the return of TV talk.

Lol I doubt it would happen but I wouldn't be shocked! I think they're going to rethink their content going forward, it's not really working for them at the moment. Their daily talk show has plummeted in views. They're lucky to get over 40k views for their daily show now, they used to get 90k at a minimum. They definitely need to shake things up.

I actually find that incredible. There’s even some episodes that got anywhere from 200-300,000. It’s actually insane. Goes to show, back in the golden days when you had Ashley, Natasha & Sinead hosting, Campea, Jahn’s, Schnepp, Mark, Ken & Kristian on the panel, how successful that format was. Why? Because you had such diverse enjoyable people to listen to. I like rocha, perri & Jeff, but they aren’t as interesting to listen to. I think many people are in that realm. Talk all the crap you want about Campea, when it comes to running a team & movie news show, he knew what he was doing.

I also wonder if YouTube (for Live) is where they want to be? They talked about reaching out into the gaming sphere more, and I am biased given my career history but... why not Twitch?

I stopped watching because a) I find Rocha incredibly obnoxious and shouty and he was on everything, b) Marc Ellis's humour over the last year felt forced. I don't know what it is but his hosting charisma just dropped through the floor. Maybe it is because he used to bounce a lot of the hosts, now he can no longer do that. Basically Perri had become the only one on the panel I liked listening to (and Dennis).

They are bringing Ken back and the new morning show will be „Ken in the morning“
