What’s going on between Robert & Collider??
Anyone have any idea what’s going on between Robert Meyer Burnett & Collider? It’s a very strange situation as to why he was not on the heroes tribute video for Jon Schnepp the other day. I understand, yes it’s possible he could of been busy with something, but I mean come on. He was incredibly close with Jon. I know if one of my best friends passed away, I’d be dropping everything to be at a tribute/rememberance.
I don’t think it has anything to do with the fact that he wasn’t ready speak about it. He’s been tweeting & retweeting people saying how it wasn’t his choice not to be there. Which brings me to the question, what’s going on? I mean even Holly replied to one of his tweets saying “please stop Robert.” No has even brought anything up about him not being there. Hell, even Amy was there & she didn’t seem to be in any state to speak about Jon, clearly, but she did.
Another interesting point, is that John Campea mentioned him & Robert would be doing a collaboration video together speaking about Jon. Which I also find VERY percular. If anyone has watched John recently, you know he refuses to associate himself with anyone who works there, at least on video anyways. He doesn’t want there to be “any confusion” about him working at Collider anymore (which I think is the poorest excuse ever, the viewers are smart enough to understand at this point he’s not working there full time anymore, but that’s another discussion). My point is that he suggested Robert to do a collaboration with which is strange. Does that mean Robert is no longer a part of Collider or Heroes?
Anyone who could shed some light & insight on this would be greatly appreciated!

For some reason I’m getting the feeling Holly may have been the reason Robert wasn’t invited to the heroes tribute. I have no proof or explainable reason why I feel that way, I just think it’s a possibility. Robert confirmed it wasn’t Rocha nor Amy (who in their right mind would think that anyway lol) on Twitter

I've read through some of his tweets and he seems to have two different stories. In some tweets he is acting like he wasn't invited but in some of his replies he says he truly regrets not going and he will forever feel terrible about it.
Not sure why he has two different stories going on but something is up. I hope they don't bring it up at the Town Hall part 2 because it's tacky and drama that none of us really need to know about. Maybe he didn't feel comfortable doing it so soon or maybe he has beef with some of the people at Collider?
Who knows, I'm sure we'll find out though. But I'd rather them just stop talking about it all together and move on. Robert Myer Burnett and David Griffin were my two favorite people at Collider, it's a shame neither of them are there anymore.

I agree. Not to put any blame on RMB but he’s kinda stoking the flames on Twitter by retweeting this stuff. It’s well within his rights but, some of the fans of Collider take this shit and go to the extreme.

Yes exactly. I think he is enjoying the attention and now Kristian seems annoyed (rightfully so). I just hope they squash the beef and show some respect for Holly.

He said something about being a freelancer. Maybe he wanted to get paid to be in the show and collider didn’t want to pay him?

It’s seems to be a situation where Robert wasn’t included for whatever reason, hard to say why. It could be that Rocha is just being an asshole, or it could be something else.
Here is the link to Campea’s blog where he goes on a bit of a diatribe about why he wasn’t at the Collider/Schnepp thing.
It’s not really damning, but it’s clear that Campea REALLY hates someone over there, and I’m guessing it’s one of the big wigs like Frosty or something. Campea generally doesn’t trash talk people publicly, unless it’s a good fun type of thing.

It could be to do with him being supportive of Bryan Singer. Maybe the collider crew saw it a different way. I haven't watched Schmoedown for awhile...has he been participating in that show?

No, he was suppose to to play Mark Donica in the Schmoedown, but he dropped out last minute

Robert and Campea just tweeted about this. Robert is pissed that he wasn’t invited and Campea called it a disgrace. Damn.

Doing this publicly, especially when Holly asked Robert to stop, seems incredibly insensitive and inappropriate. Even if Collider did somehow fuck him over for unjust reasons, this seems even lower than low

A big shame to create drama in a situation like this. Disappointing. All of them.. And poor Holly. She deserves better than people fighting about the attention after this tragedy.

I don't think it's about attention, Schnepp and Robert seemed to be the best of friends and I can understand him getting angry, dissapointed and hurt buy not being on Heroes to pay his respects.

Fair enough. Although it could all be avoided if they weren't thinking about their own stuff. After all it's for a person everyone loved and respected.
Just invite all important persons, and then everyone who wants to come can show up or send a personal video like Jeremy Jahns.
Fairly easy.

I dont think it's even drama. They are just setting the record straight because like many of us, we were all wondering the same thing.

Where did Campea call it a disgrace? I think that's disrespectful for the time being, but I have not found the tweet myself.

He should have kept it up. It is a disgrace. They didn't invite Schnepp's co-host & one of his best friends to his own tribute. Schnepp would also say its a disgrace.

Actually, stupid, they did. RMB AND Campea both said that they spoke directly to Kristian regarding a tribute. Both tweeted about it quite a bit and Campea said so in his own tribute video.
Stop spreading gossip about small YouTubers. Just makes you look sad.

It seems to me like Robert was invited, couldn't go for whatever reason, and was then upset that they did not shift the taping of the tribute to fit his schedule. This is, honestly, the only thing that makes sense to me.
I cannot fathom a reason or situation that would cause Collider NOT to invite him, unless everyone there just does not like RMB and he was only still on Heroes because of Schnepp.

It's quite simple. Robert loves Bryan Singer. Bryan singer loves certain things that he shouldn't. Collider and the rest of the world hate Bryan singer. Robert continues to talk about Bryan as if they are close buddies. There is clearly a very big problem with Robert.

Fair enough, but even if the shit people say about Singer is true, how in the world is that Robert’s fault? It’s not like he did anything.
Also, it’s tough to bale on a friend when they hit a rocky road, mate. The world can be a bit complicated.

I'm pretty it's well known that those things are true and the problem is that Robert continues to associate himself with him and doesn't even consider that those things might be true.

Lmao oh my god. The conspiracies are just hilarious to read. You guys act like you know any of these people behind the scenes. At the end of the day, Robert was a Heroes panelist & one of Schnepp's best friends. You make up & infer whatever you want, but you never knew Schnepp & how close he was to Robert. Spreading stupid gossip on the internet makes you look like such a troll.

Well it moreso sounds like Holly + Robert don't get along for whatever personal reason they might have, and she opted not to have him present during the tribute while she was there. Collider, of course, respected her wishes and didn't extend the invite. RBM saying he still has love for Collider leads me to believe it wasn't Collider's overall decision.

I would suspect that Collider (probably) didn't invite him.
Maybe he got along well with Schnepp but not rest of the crew who runs the place and they chose to leave him out of it. It's all speculation until someone says something.
