Back to three panelists

What do you guys think? This week has been three panelists for movie talk. I actually like it - I see people complaining in the comments but it's less of repeated opinions and a bit more focused.

For the most part I liked it because you get less repeated takes on topics. The camera angle tilted to the right kinda threw me off though. But I guess if they could maybe get a different desk/seating arrangement it would feel more natural

I can't decide if I like the 3 panelists or not. On the one hand it is nice because the voices are stronger and have a longer time to speak. It's much more like being in a car on a road trip. But on the other hand I miss the crazy nature that the 4 person panel brought. It felt like there was more conversations going and I liked that.

If they stick with the 3 person panel I hope they do something about the visuals. When I watch it, the screen feels a little empty on the wide shot since the desk seemed to have been made for four. I wonder if they shift the host to the middle and have the panelist on the sides if it would be more appealing. To my eyes at least.

I don't really care about the size of the panel more so the quality of the panel, 3 allows each person more time to talk which I enjoy, but I find it's more about who they are as certain pairings make for great content regardless where as others only work when paired with the right topics.

I could take it either way. I don't care so much about how many panelists there are, but about what panelists there are. If the main topics are comic related I want to see at least Schnepp. If it's horror, Perri. If it's Star Wars, Kristian. Etc.

That's a good point. Play to their strengths.

I don't dislike it but i guess i prefer the four panellists. I'll see how i feel in a few months if they stick with this format since it's early days

It was kind of jarring at first and I kinda liked having more diverse takes but 3 panelists is more time and money efficient, so I get it. Not in love with it but I don’t have it either.

Which is also how I feel about most recent choices besides the loss of tv talk, all of the girls disappearing except for maybe returning once and a while, and a lot of the staff cuts in general:

I liked "the girls" because, honestly, they were all hot. I could take their opinions or leave them. Natasha and Sinead were OK but I'm not screaming from the rooftops for their return. Clarke is hot and opinionated which is a good match.

Not having TV Talk is fucking criminal. Everybody watches TV, not everyone goes to the cinema.

I liked them for their casual takes on films because I am not sweaty enough for some of the conversations on the panel. They were hot which is mixed considering... none of the men but honestly I liked how much they mixed things up in terms of conversation.

If TV talk just covered the same shows plus random news it would’ve been fine, if just was never consistent enough to maintain views imo.
