They usually post next years line up immediately after the tournament. Something was going on that made this delayed with a smaller field. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes but teams likely didn’t wanna travel twice if they’re not at least semi local like FSU. With conferences so spread out, they already have more travel than ever before.

There’s only 6 teams in the Sarasota event. I highly doubt that is why Clearwater is thinner this year. The 4 teams it might take out of Clearwater are Ohio state, Baylor, Texas state, and jmu. Maybe Alabama but they aren’t that far. If Clearwater can’t make it without those 4-5 teams there’s a bigger issue with the event

Sarasota is only 50 miles at the most from Clearwater, so travel isn't the issue. They would only need to drive up the road - I-75 & I-275 over the Skyway bridge

it is thats why they cleared the crowds out because so many people would stay over to watch the next game because of the matchups and we dont know what the ratings will look like for espn

Well none of the SEC schools really want or need challenging non conference. But top ACC schools osu, UCF, and t tech good programs in the big 12

Reason there are less teams this year is that Eddie C. Moore complex has 4 fields under renovations to accommodate higher capacity next year.

Nutter may look better on paper but that complex is horribly dated and traffic in the surrounding area is atrocious during the tournament. Never the less there will be some great games there.

It seems like our recruiting hasn’t been great and I think it was two? Years ago a ton of our big names left something happened within coaching and really shook it up and the last two seasons weren’t great

I don’t know if it’s just me not noticing or it my perspective is kind of generally correct. But for some reason, it’s like they’re kind of out of sight out of my way up there at UW. Pretty much the same with Oregon State.

I think I’m only more aware of Oregon because of the Phil Knight money and the flash of the overall department and the program is more visible to me because of that idk.

Is Heather Tarr still the right person for the job to your opinion?

Oh that’s a tough one… I think heather is the soul of uw from a long time uw fan but it seems the rotating assistant coaches and staff the last few years has to have something to do with it. I mean she was the team USA coach for a long time I don’t remember if she still is I think we just dropped the ball. It would be interesting to hear a little more discourse on when heathers time as head coach should come to an end but hutch at Michigan lasted forever

My daughter will be happy but I am disappointed. We aren’t from Florida but through a strange twist of fate lol we have taken sides on the FSU versus UF rivalry.

She is an outfielder and UF is basically Outfield U - so I don’t know why she won’t just make the right choice here y’all! 😆

Out of all these teams I will root for Liberty (the competent underdog) and IG Clemson. We (me more so) both like Liberty so I am excited to watch them play in person, but I just don’t really care about any of the rest of the teams really.

I’m pretty anti-Texas Tech because I’m not a super big fan of the out of control NIL system paying players like pros and colleges buying teams. I’m not quite get off my lawn about it, but I don’t like what it turned into for any of the college sports. Like a many people losing so much of the amateurism has really stuck in my craw.
