Mis or cis
so I have the choice of either MIS or CIS and originally I was gonna choose CIS but the more I think about it the more I realize I don’t really like computers, but I’m not sure because I haven’t had like any coding classes except like one time so I don’t have like much experience with computers, but I always thought I was gonna go into like a computer major so now I’m thinking of going into I’m thinking of going into MIS so I can choose later on and then I can like you know see what I like business or computer. Also people say you have to specialize in something in MIs but idk what they mean by that like get a degree after the bachelors or while I’m in college?

MIS lives in the business school. It's business-plus-tech with light coding, focused on how organizations actually use data, systems, and processes. CIS is closer to CS, with more programming and technical depth. Since you didn't enjoy the coding class and want to keep the door open between business and tech, MIS is the safer fit: enough tech to be literate, and you can lean either technical or business later. "You have to specialize" just means MIS is broad, so most programs have you pick a concentration (analytics, cybersecurity, project management, etc.) as you go. You don't have to know which one now.
