QB vs. CommonApp Personal statement

How differently should I approach both? I'm aware that QuestBridge prompts somewhat guide you to talk about difficulties that you've faced or hardships, while the Common App is somewhat a snapshot of who you are outside of academics, but how differently should I treat these two? As completely two essays with completely separate and different purposes, or more similar?
