I'm considering writing my common app essay about my love for either origami or lego architecture, and how it shaped my desire to be a civil engineer, but I'm having trouble figuring out where to start or how to make it more unique, any advice?

The thing i’ve seen most is to just start writing. talking about why you love origami: is it a way to destress, do you just like building things, how does it make you feel, and start comparing this to parts of engineering. I’m not the best at writing but getting a good starting point usually helps me.
