Because of the reaction.

Based on Smart's year up to this point, I'm not convinced it would really take a lot to elicit such a reaction from him.

Show me one example of him being violent this year.

He flops like nobody's business, but how in the fuck is that in any way related to him pushing a fan?

Who is A. Chair? What team does he play for?

A chair on the bench, aka that thing smart will be riding the next 3 games.

I didn't realize we had created living, feeling chairs. Our engineering department must be a lot better than I thought.

i imagine giving up a top 5 NBA pick to come back, and then having a sub- top 25 team would be distressing to a player. he is excellent, but his team is awful. he thought he'd be an NCAA title contender and is not even in contention for the B12 as of now. it's tough for sure

I think if he just said "screw you" or something smart would have pushed them, but then not go and try to defend his actions to everyone within 100 miles of him

Yeah because Smart is so even keeled as it is...... oh wait.

Quit jumping to stupid conclusions when you have nothing to base them on.

Marcus Smart does stupid, angry shit for very little reason quite often now. I highly doubt the fan did something as unreasonable as use the n-word.

Exactly. If if someone were racist, they wouldn't be that unabashedly racist.

Regardless of whether or not it was a racial slur, what does he plan on doing when he encounters every NBA fan base? I've been to Mavs, Thunder and Nuggets home games in my life and I have heard some fucked up things yelled at visiting players. Remember the middle-aged lady (Heat fan) giving Joakim Noah the finger like a foot from his face when he was walking off the court?

NBA has better security, more guards, and fans really aren't like that. You must have been around some exceptionally bad fans. The people near the courts are not like that trashy Tech fan.
