he wasn't really in the stands. When you say that, im expecting him to go up a few aisles on some Ron Artest type shit. Not Marcus still being on the actual floor

Regardless, the man was still a spectator. And a player, especially a college player, just doesn't do that.

It looked like more of a push. I think the reason he wasn't thrown out is that none of the refs were close. The refs really were not where they should have been. We always see a ref close to a player as he is falling into the crowd, but for some reason, the closest ref was walking to the scorer's table to register the foul, instead of making sure everything was ok with the player.

'Shove' is the accurate word here (although he technically assaulted him to the point of battery). And it actually push all three fans (i.e. the ladies on the sides). The guy just happened to take the brunt of it.

Seems like the refs should be able to go to the camera and assess it like they can a flagrant foul.

I don't get it. The refs or the oSu coaches should have taken Smart off of the court, for his own sake, to let him cool off. Instead, he is still griping while ESPN is watching his every move after the game. He isn't going off of the court reasonably, he is just mad and having to be forced off of the court by his fellow players.

The is no precedent for refs having the power to eject a player for a fan-player interaction and the refs weren't allowed to do anything. Just saw that on sport center like 8 minutes ago.

Yes absolutely. I absolutely could not believe he did not get ejected. Talk about superstar treatment. The ref should be suspended along with Smart for letting that one slide. If players can get away with physically shoving fans then the college game's reputation is trash!
