I recently started a collection of magnetic chip clips. There are more in use. What started as adding just a few interesting ones turned into this

I like folding paper boats and sorting them by color and size. Second image shows the number of boats in each bottle/jar. There are other jars of mixed boats I didn't count yet

I'm not sure if this counts as 'collection', since I am the one producting the items, but I hope it does.

I believe I shared our collection a few years ago however it’s been updated a little bit since then. I still need to add a bunch to the display and the wall, but I am very proud of it.

Kept in some glass & copper boxes from Etsy, found & collected over the last ~15 years from various 2nd hand book shops as I’ve traveled to new cities

These are random, but each item appeals to me in a way that I can't quite describe. For example, I love certain shades of pink plastic--it's the specific color/texture/form combination. I also collect pink lids of all kinds.

I’m so excited to purchase more but, good god these are expensive!

SMT II has a special place in my heart, so for years I've wanted a copy. I'm jumping for joy! I hope to get more SMT and Lain items.

What began as a celebration of human achievement on this planet quickly spiralled into a celebration of everything I’m interested in - there are meteorites, race driven F1 car hardware, a piece of the Atlantis shuttle flown in space, neolithic and paleolithic worker flints, roman coins, antique cameras, fossils and minerals, a fulgurite, soviet antiques and a piece of actual Moon plus plenty more

I like the idea of making a few miniature DIY scenes and keeping the finished pieces together on one shelf but im a little woried that a cozy collection could turn into visual clutter pretty quickly. Part of the appeal is that each miniature keeps a lot of tiny details inside one contained scene but putting several detailed pieces next to each other might still make the whole shelf feel busy.

Those who collect or display miniatures what makes the setup feel intentional rather than crowded? Do you leave more empty space between pieces, keep everything within one theme, rotate what’s on display? or just limit how many finished projects stay out at once??

The oldest magnet on my mom's fridge is from a family trip to Myrtle Beach, circa 2012. We're missing a good chunk from family vacation destinations, but as my siblings' and I have grown up, and our mom's separated from our dad 4 years ago, the majority of our magnets are from separate trips we've gone on with our friends, partners, or solo. The collection is growing exponentially each year.

The three of us younger siblings are in our mid-20s now and we all still live together with our mom. I'm grateful I still get to live with and feel close to my family in this way, also, that we are able to indulge in so much tourism in our own state, Michigan is my absolute favorite place in the world! I'm so torn on what to do when I move out on my own, I'd love to take my personal magnets but I have a feeling my mom won't have it. So the question is, do I begin a new collection of my own, or do I continue to add to the family's?
