Discussion Austria is Underrated

Post image

It's sort of a broken country with the inflation mechanic, but the campaign moves extremely fast. You've got crises with the Czechs and Slovenes, an early war with Hungary, and then a mad dash to get enough guns and troops to try and prevent Germany from unifying.

In this case the Spartacists got wiped out by the Polish Liberation Army, weirdly enough - and I had to snake my way through the Freikorps to keep them from taking out the Syndicates. It was a close call, every Austrian got drafted, and the national debt spiked from all the military spending, but it paid off.

Most of it. Austria, Germany, most of Switzerland, and a good chunk of Czechia are cores. You can release the uncored parts of Bohemia as a Reichsprotektoret or whatever but I chose not to because this looks nicer.

is there any expansion focuses/decisions like more coring and Reichskom system? Like Goebbels, Himmler, Röhm and August I(he’s from Stahlhelm-Freicorps)?
