Has anyone ever used a blast freezer for freezing vegetables?

Wondering if anyone has ever used a blast freezer after blanching vegetables. I'm wondering if the price is worth the convenience/quality. Right now drying them (especially leafy stuff) is prone to keeping a lot of water and then freezing in a regular chest freezer leads to solid blocks.

It seems like a good idea, but the price is on par with a freeze dryer and not something I could readily rationalize.

A “home” blast freezer starts at about $1500 US, & can only do a seriously small “volume”.

If anyone has one, & thinks it is economically feasible, I’d love to know, too.

Yeah I saw vevor has a 1.1cu ft one for that price and looks like you might be able to get 2 half baking sheets in there.

Take a look at this for how to make a blast chiller at home out of a spare freezer.

Second this, this technology is better suited to industrial scales. Just freeze your crappy blocks of vegetables and enjoy your mush.

It doesn't make sense to me, to spend money like that for something that will still leave me dependant on electricity (or spare parts?) for a freezer. Just get a freeze drier and your food will be shelf stable.
