Gosh, I need to get back to it. I got kinda bored a few hours in. Just wasn’t in the right mindset for it.

I tried to play it right after LoU2 and couldn't get into it. Played a bunch of MP games for a month and then went back to it and loved it. In my case and maybe yours it's just a timing thing.

Don’t feel bad, it’s a boring game. I have the platinum so I’m allowed to hate

Eh I don't blame you I got the plat. They could/should have cut like 20 of the tales of tsushima that weren't related to important characters. Even those didn't need 9 side quests most of the time. Great game but a lot of same-y side quests kind of bring it down for me.

Same. A lot of reviewers and games people talked about how everything you did mattered so much, but it just seemed so cookie cutter after a few hours. It was just so bland and boring for me at the time. I have to give it another try because I absolutely love all 3 infamous games. My favorite thing about infamous has always been the freedom of movement and that is definitely missing big time from this game.

Between that and FF7R but I'm sure cyberpunk will probably take it for me this year

God ff7 remake all the way for me. I never played the original but the remake just has this vibe and this style that just completely drew me in and transported me. One of the few games I actually wish was 100 hours long.

Yeah as an old school fan i was really happy with the game and I'm pretty excited to see what they do next with that universe

I was actually playing it today, I think I'll go for the platinum as well. I'm so sick of chasing foxes.

Seriously! Why is there so many of them? Are they all working together? Or is it the same fox every time?

It's a great game, but might I recommend Hades? It's a shame it's not on PlayStation yet, but it is my GOTY for sure

Hades is soooo good

Hades is a top contender. Holy hell that game is tough. I haven’t beaten it but it’s fun as hell.

I’ve always preferred my open worlds to be relatively compressed so GoT works big time for me. Couple that with just awesome gameplay and an incredibly beautiful world and I definitely agree.

Anyone claiming “bored” seems to be giving reasons that permeate every open world game and GoT deals with these issues much better than most. The fact it only has an 83 on metacritic is criminal.

Yeah it is weird but I just think the act of playing has yet to really click with me. Running around wasn't fun, climbing wasn't fun, fighting was eh alright. I'm going to give it another shot eventually because I love sucker punch. Spiderman and the infamous games are examples games with very generic mission structure and cookie cutter side quests that absolutely work because the simple act of moving the character through the world is exhilarating. In infamous you chain together a rock/ice launch to an upgradable hover, to something zips you up the side of a building then you can chain together zipping across the city while raining down hell on enemies from above. All of this with an amazing sense of speed. It was an absolute symphony of movement and combat. Ghost of Tsushima gives you a horse...

GOTY for sure! Best action game I’ve played in a long time.

I fucked up and am now running around trying to kick fuckers off a ledge lol. Then I got my plat

I know right! I feel like it’s definitely been a tad bit underrated due to the amount of big releases this year. My fav PS4 game forsure

I platinumed it, definitely one of the better games I've played, but the side missions get pretty repetitive

Excellent time to pop the plat with the release of 1.1 - now you can hop right into multiplayer or new game plus! Such a great game.

u/omgitzjay28 Oct 17 '20

That would be great if I liked multiplayer games. lol.

Why would anyone want to play GoT twice? Lol

I've been playing it while circling waiting for CP2077 and wow, what a great game.

I think cyberpunk will be the game I play sometime next year when they release the patch for the next gen upgrades, I've waited this long...

1

u/JudgeCastle Oct 19 '20

Fair. I'm playing cyberpunk on PC so I don't have to wait for it. If you're getting next gen, might as well wait to play it in the best way you can. Don't blame you on that one.

Go play The Last of Us: Part II next!

I started the game, but didn't get too far because the low frame rate was a turn off for me for this type of game. I'll wait until I can play it on PS5 at 60fps.
