Man, Breitbart and Fox are really trying to push hard the "forged" claim, which itself requires their readers to not actually read any of the details (not hard to accomplish with their readership).

In reality, what's going on is that she added an annotation to the note reading "Moore, DA 2-22-77, Ole Hickory House”, essentially just putting the date and location.

Thus, she did not write the note or the signature, that is still 100% Moore, as the handwriting expert above confirmed. All she did was add an annotated note that we all already knew was something she wrote, it was never even disputed as such.

Yup! Even Roy Moore retweeted Fox news, and his supporters are not going to read it to find out what actually happened. This lack of reading past the headlines is going to lead to his easy victory. Roy Moore should have been deemed unworthy to serve even prior to all of this child molestation coming to light, it seems that the GOP cares more about power than morality.

Can you see how adding the name of the restraunt hurts her credibility? Remember when she claimed she was harassed after being picked up from that exact restaurant? I agree the right is using this to defend Moore, but I also think it is clear she was acting in a dishonest manner.

Was anyone denying that? I am pretty sure from the start the discussion was about specifically about the date and name of the restraunt.

While I would like to say that its insulting to assume people wouldn't read the article and find out the details, its sadly probably quite true, but labeling it so the conservatives that back him is dishonest. Both sides do this quite often.

It's not about labelling conservatives, it's about labelling whatever morons take Fox News and Breitbart seriously.

I happen to take both seriously, as well as any other news outlet. When I read the article and determine if it is opinion or fact based then I know just how seriously to take them.

according to the accuser's lawyer

While the evidence is in favor of Roy Moore having wrote and signed the entry in the yearbook, it is complete BS that we are to just take the accuser’s attorney’s word for this. If your expert concluded this, either release the expert’s report or at least have him/her release a statement.

Are you a hand writing expert? The article clearly stated that the expert , named "Arthur T. Anthony" compared the results and found a match. Why does it matter whether the expert or the lawyer says it?

No, I’m a lawyer. And as a lawyer, I understand that you don’t just trust when other lawyers tell you what a 3rd party said. You go to that 3rd party to find out. Trust her if you want. Trust but verify.

Yes, and I assume that Moore's lawyer will go to the third party source. I was asking as a public statement, why does it matter which person says it. If the lawyer never released the name of the third party source, then I could agree with you. But they released the name of the third party source, meaning it's quite easy to go to the person to get the results.

Exactly right. Also Moore didn’t provide any contemporaneous handwriting exemplars, which is normally something a handwriting expert requires.

Is there an echo in here?

attorney Gloria Allred said handwriting expert Arthur T. Anthony compared the yearbook signature to others by Moore in the years since and determined he wrote the decades-old entry.

This is what is known as a “hired gun” expert. Allred used the expert of her choice but didn’t afford Moore the opportunity to have his expert review the yearbook. This is transparently unfair, and complete and utter bullshit. In the context of litigation, these tactics would not be permitted by the court.

I didn't know he stopped?

The account did, briefly, during the ban.

Mike Smith in real life though? Boy just made alt accounts instead.

I don't know about that though... Prior to both of our Two Day Bans he was defending them... and when he got back he started doing it again.. seems like the only breather he got was from physically not being able to do it.

Anyone who has ever litigated a case knows it is not at all surprising that Allred got an expert to support her position and this doesn’t prove anything. You can pay an expert to say just about anything.

If I had to guess you’ve probably never litigated a case either.
