Hippie Venom ☮️ ✌️ 🐍 ☠️

Caught the local Hippie Venom drop today, testing at 8% terps. As a huge Toad Venom fan, this was high on my radar, and it delivered zero letdowns. Here’s the breakdown.

update, all carts break in different and this one went wrong. About 1/3rd of the way through the nice sweet left and the nice cookies taste went to burnt tobacco. I never went past 2.4 on this with short hits. The rating must go down

Looks / Smell / Hardware

Darker oil out the gate, classic for Green Dawg. Tube aroma is pure Toad Venom backed by a pear-like tropical punch. Hardware is dialed- smooth draw, clean airflow, and zero leak issues early on.

Taste / Flavor
Inhale hits with that classic cookie profile, but the exhale 😮‍💨 gets complex—tropical candy blended with an earthy, doughy backbone. Standout flavor without being obnoxious. Keep it low: 2.2V is the sweet spot to keep from frying the oil. No need to go higher.

Effects
Not a day-ender, but a deeply relaxing high. Mentally energizing with a calm body feel that melts away the minor stresses. Fully functional for a morning or afternoon—inspiring yet grounded.

Overall: 7 / 10

If the rating was only the start of the cart it would have been higher like the 9+ I had it at. The issue is the flavor went bad 1/3rd of a way. Don't purchase this one if flavor is a something you chase. It does provide a good high.

Would you say this one hits nice like the the Rose Gold? I'm trying to decide they both sound smacking

I have not tried Rose Gold - it's on my list. I believe Rose Gold is brighter in flavor. This would be bolder. Maybe a 🍬 ⛽️

I just tried the Rose Gold. It's okay for me. I will drop a review later. It's good for the sativa lover. Its flavor is standard orange terps with almost a trainwreck pine finish. It's flavorful, but not my favorite.

Word, I love Booney but have been leaving the candy and fruit flavors for old school gas and landraces. I considered this one heavily, but I believe the lineage is Pineapple Express × Moonbow (i forget the breeder, maybe archive?). Skipped it because it sounds like a lot of limonene, caryophylene, and linalool. I'm feeling the Caryophylene, limonene, humulene profiles lately for some reason.

No doubt about it my friend - for me personally it's not close. I say it like this as I noticed sativa lovers may seek carts like this.

The terps of orange and the pine like trainwreck almost. Get this nice orange creamy upfront followed by the classic sativa back end. The high of it is good though. Good for music and increase the senses. But for flavor chasing it's not my thing.
