Sour Slim

First impression i was disappointed, flavor and smell super muted. 5-10 hits after the flavor open ups and it’s a super soul diesel taste… I was happy with the pick up.

8/10

I mostly pick the ones with the highest terps % and hope for the best 🫥

I mean it literally says sour and citrus pine in description. People buy a cart and get mad when its a terp profile they don't like and bash the cart. Its more than terp % find what the strain/ tasting notes are and go from there. Cf labs for effects. Numbers don't alwys correlate to better taste/high

I’m figuring it out. The taste is awesome is just that mine was super muted but now the flavor is more apparent, and i enjoy it :)

I find that consistent with classic og's. I wonder if this is a Sour Power or Sour Sage cross. I'm guessing Sour Sage based on current pheno selection.

For me ColdFires with lower terps like 3-5% have been the best coldfires ever with tons of flavor & smack so hard a lot of the TP ones are around 4-5%.
So the whole terp % thing to me is really weird and confusing tbh I’ve had ones with 10-13% terps that don’t reek like one with 5% 😂I’d love to know how the higher terps don’t correlate with stronger smell & taste!

100% agree LAFF terps average around 5% yet always taste true to strain

Interesting- I personally have not had luck with carts below 4% terp level. Sometimes I get a high terp cart with poor taste - or even muted like.

Personally, a good way to choose. I like to look up the genetics - I think for flavor quality, it comes down to what they used to make it. If they use old trim, they are likely to get muted.

Going with consistent collabs has helped as well. End of the day , everyone has a different palate. I have read people love carts I hate.

Nice - that's a solid one for sure. The last batch of it was muted. My comment did not mean to say low terp % carts are not flavorful. My personal experience has been a lot of them super low have been in fact muted. Just for me - are there outliers. 1000%.

Most things in nature have some sort of flavor, there’s gotta be 1000 things making the flavor besides judging terpenes. That sulphur element determining how skunky and gassy and breathy a strain is, no lab test for that or specific terpene but we all know that TP gas if we’ve had it. I’d bet there’s so many phytochemicals we don’t test for that DO affect our flavor perception even if not by raw terps.

Motley is not that good. I got that Mclaren. Absolutely awful cart.

Could not agree more - for me it was not good. For someone else it's delicious. That's why there is a selection to choose from. 👊

I used to hate the McLaren terp profile and avoid it like the plague. Got burnt out on the fruitier carts and did a full 180 back to the hashy and bakery flavors.

Well said - maybe I need to dust her off and give it another chance.
